Leonardo Dicaprio Says Kate Winslet Is His ‘Favorite Actress in the Industry’
Leonardo DiCaprio has worked alongside some of the most talented actresses in the industry. In his longstanding career, the Oscar winner has starred with the likes of Margot Robbie, Claire Danes, Carrie Mulligan, and Amy Adams, to name a few. Yet the one actress who comes to mind most often when we think of Leonardo DiCaprio is none other than Kate Winslet. DiCaprio and Winslet have become one of the most treasured Hollywood duos ever since co-starring in their 1997 film Titanic.
As the years go by, we get more and more excited to see these two together. Whether it’s strolling down the red carpet hand in hand or starring in a new movie alongside each other, Winslet and DiCaprio can do no wrong. The Great Gatsby actor has even gone so far as to call Winslet his “favorite actress in the industry.”

Who in their right mind isn’t a total sucker for DiCaprio and Winslet’s relationship? These two have been best friends since 1996, when they met on the set of James Cameron’s epic masterpiece, Titanic. Winslet admitted to Oprah that before meeting her future best friend, she was extremely nervous to work with him.
She confesses,
“I was like probably how all the women in this audience are about Leonardo DiCaprio. Initially, I thought, ‘Ugh, how am I gonna work with this beautiful man, who is such a brilliant actor?’ And I met him, and he’s honestly so lovely and down-to-earth and normal and so good at what he does.”
Yet despite her initial jitters to work with such a good looking guy, she reveals that DiCaprio is now her “closest friend in the world.” Need more proof that these two are utterly inseparable? Look no further. Reports reveal that DiCaprio walked Winslet down the aisle during her wedding. A friendship doesn’t get much closer than that, now does it?

It’s hard to think of anyone who wouldn’t want such high praise from DiCaprio, yet Winslet always seems to be on the receiving end of his sweetest compliments. During the 2016 Golden Globes, the Catch Me If You Can actor was asked if he would ever work with Winslet again. (The two have also co-starred in Revolutionary Road together back in 2008.) DiCaprio doesn’t hesitate to respond. He says, “I’d love to. She’s my favorite actress in the industry. She’s actually hanging out with me tonight. We’re gonna go to the afterparties together.”
In a different interview, he gave us more hope that the two will probably work together again in the future. He says, “It’s great to work with one of your best friends, it really is. I’ll always be looking to work with her again.”

As much as the majority of the human population wants Winslet and DiCaprio to get married, the two are just good friends. But this is perhaps a good thing. It means their bond will never be severed. Nothing can tear them apart, not a bad breakup or a cheating scandal. They will remain friends until the end of time, and “never let go” of their bond with one another.
