Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks May Be in a Doomed Relationship — Here’s Why
Celebrity relationships can be tough to follow, and Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are no different. While the famous lovebirds appeared to be totally in love when they wed at the end of 2018, they called it quits just a few months later. Now, they’re both pursuing totally new relationships — and Hemsworth is getting cozy with model Gabriella Brooks.
Cyrus wasted no time getting serious with Australian singer/songwriter Cody Simpson, but now, it’s Hemsworth’s turn to take over the relationship spotlight. Brooks has reportedly met his parents and gets along quite well with the Hemsworths. But judging from her and Hemsworth’s dating history, the relationship might be doomed from the start. Here’s why.
Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks appear to be getting serious
Hemsworth doesn’t post as much of his personal life to social media as Cyrus does. But that makes it all the more interesting for his fans when the media spots him with a new woman.
According to People, Hemsworth was first spotted with Brooks back in December. And insiders are noting it’s getting more serious between them. “Liam and Gabriella have spent a lot of time in Australia together,” a source told the publication. “Liam has been in a great mood.”
Not only has Brooks reportedly met Hemsworth’s parents, but they also seemed to seal the deal with a public kiss. According to Elle, New Idea posted photos of Hemsworth and Brooks locking lips while lying on towels beachside. And a source also told Us Weekly that Hemsworth’s parents adore Brooks, too, “which is very important to him.”
Brooks reportedly left her last boyfriend due to his partying ways
It’s great to see Hemsworth moving on, especially since he and Cyrus just finalized their highly-publicized divorce in early 2020. As for Brooks, it’s nice to see her moving on too. Prior to her relationship with Hemsworth, she dated the frontman for The 1975, Matt Healy.
According to Mirror Online, Brooks and Healy dated from 2015 to the summer of 2019. But Healy’s unconventional lifestyle and constant touring were tough on their relationship. Even if Brooks could handle that, it seems the last straw may have been his hard-partying ways.
“Matty is great when he’s on form but he isn’t the easiest person to be with and leads a very unconventional life,” a source said. “He parties a lot at home when he’s there and Gabby had just had enough. She doesn’t want to lead her life like that.”
Mirror Online also mentioned that Brooks helped Healy when he was in rehab for heroin addiction. While his addiction was allegedly tough on their relationship, Healy called Brooks “incredibly wise and beautiful” and seemingly hoped they could work things out.
Rumor has it that Miley Cyrus was fed up with Hemsworth’s partying
While many suspected Cyrus’ partying ways were the reason for her split from Hemsworth, it appears that may not have been the case. A source told People back in August that Cyrus may have actually been fed up with Hemsworth’s party mentality.
“Everyone always thinks Miley is problematic and immature and a hardcore partier while he’s this chill surfer dude, but that’s actually [not accurate],” a friend told the publication. “Liam parties with his friends, and Miley thinks he should’ve grown out of that by now.”
Another source noted that Cyrus served as Hemsworth’s support system, but their relationship was a lot more complicated than it appeared from the outside. “That’s something that has weighed on Miley and their relationship. He can also lash out at her, and he hates the attention their ups and downs bring,” an insider claimed.
Considering Brooks allegedly broke up with Healy over his partying, could this spell trouble for her and Hemsworth if what the insiders said are true? Even if Hemsworth was a hard partier, it’s possible his divorce from Cyrus could’ve completely shifted his mentality. And his relationship with Brooks appears to be healthy and drama-free so far.
We’re hoping the past doesn’t mean the future is doomed for the couple, but we’ll have to wait and find out.
