Liam Hemsworth’s Relationship With Gabriella Brooks Is Reportedly Moving Much Faster Than They Anticipated
Fans of Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus are still reeling over their split. The star-studded couple met on a movie set a decade ago, and from there, they fell deeply in love. While they certainly had their issues, they were always able to come back to each other — and they even tied the knot in December 2018. Unfortunately, it was downhill from there. Months after saying “I Do,” Cyrus was spotted with a new girlfriend. And Hemsworth seemed blindsided by the reports.
Now, Hemsworth and Cyrus have totally gone their separate ways. And the two are pursuing new relationships. Hemsworth was spotted with model Gabriella Brooks back in December 2019. And now, insiders claim their relationship is moving lightning-fast.
Hemsworth has been seeing Gabriella Brooks since mid-December
Cyrus was first dating Kaitlynn Carter after her split from Hemsworth. But she’s now in a serious relationship with Australian singer/songwriter Cody Simpson. While it seemed to take Hemsworth awhile to find a new serious girlfriend, it seems Gabriella Brooks may be his perfect match.
According to People, the new couple met through mutual friends. And when Brooks met Hemsworth’s parents back in 2019, they appeared to love her. Even so, Hemsworth seemed cautious before entering a new, serious relationship. “Liam is taking it slow, but he’s definitely interested in her,” a source told People at the time.
Another insider who spotted the couple also spoke to People about the new couple’s chemistry. “They looked really happy and into each other,” they noted. “There was lots of PDA.”
Yet another source talked to Us Weekly about Hemsworth and Brooks, and it seems they had even more good things to say about the couple. “Liam feels comfortable with Gabriella,” the source claimed. “His family approves of her and really likes her, which is very important to him.”
Brooks was reportedly in a serious relationship before
Hemsworth and Cyrus went through a lot together over the last decade — and Cyrus even included aspects of her relationship in her 10-year lookback at the start of 2020. But Brooks is also no stranger to commitment. She was in a relationship with Matthew Healy, the frontman of The 1975, for four years.
So, what happened with Healy and Brooks? It seems he was a partier, and Brooks wasn’t into his wild lifestyle. “He parties a lot at home when he’s there and Gabby had just had enough. She doesn’t want to lead her life like that,” a source close to the couple allegedly told The Sun.
Brooks has seen a lot of backlash for ditching Healy and going for Hemsworth, though. While she seems happy and stable with Hemsworth, others took to her Instagram to question why she would leave her four-year relationship for Cyrus’ ex.

So, how are Hemsworth and Brooks doing now? While Cyrus and Simpson seem to be getting closer and closer, the same goes for the newer couple.
“Things between Liam and Gabriella are definitely getting to be more serious since their lunch date at The Ivy with his brothers and some of his closest friends. Liam was able to see how well she fit in with his loved ones and it just meshed,” Marie Claire reports a source told Hollywood Life. “He could see serious potential with Gabby and is very much open to seeing where things go with her on a long-term basis.”
Another source remarked on how quickly their relationship is moving.
“Gabby and Liam both came into this fresh out of serious relationships, so it is surprising how quickly things progressed. But it all happened so naturally. … It’s obvious they’re really into each other and they are definitely exclusive,” another source added. “It’s funny because they both wanted to take things slowly. But in reality, things have moved pretty quickly. They really like each other and have been spending a ton of time together.”
It’s great to see both Hemsworth and Cyrus moving in positive directions post-divorce. We wish them both happiness, and we’re excited to see if Hemsworth and Brooks continue to progress their relationship.
