Lily James’ Pamela Anderson Makeover Was So Convincing ‘Pam & Tommy’ Co-Star Sebastian Stan Didn’t Recognize Her After Filming
Pamela Anderson will be forever immortalized as the Baywatch babe that ran along the beaches of Southern California alongside David Hasselhoff in her bright red bathing suit.
The former Playboy model and actor was a mainstay of ’90s television, with recurring appearances on V.I.P and Home Improvement. She also played the lead role of a sexy bounty hunter in the 1996 film Barb Wire.
Anderson became a household name when she married Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee after only knowing him for only 96 hours. Their tumultuous and often erotic relationship became tabloid fodder and is chronicled in the upcoming Hulu biopic, Pam & Tommy.

The highly-anticipated limited series will debut simultaneously on Hulu and Disney+ on February 2, 2022.
Based on the true story of Anderson and Lee’s whirlwind romance, the eight-episode biopic focuses heavily on the now-infamous sex tape the couple made on their honeymoon in 1995.
Insider reported that Seth Rogen will portray Rand Gauthier, “the real-life electrician who discovered the tape of the couple in a safe that he stole from Lee’s home.” They explained, “The tape was sold and went viral upon its distribution on the Internet.”
According to Elle, within a few months of the video tape’s release to the public, several million people watched the “tabloid royalty” share their most intimate moments.
The pornography site, Club Love, bought the rights to the viral tape and distributed copies on VHS and DVD. Rolling Stone reported, “the tape made an estimated $77 million in less than 12 months on legitimate sales.”

Recently, the internet just about broke when photographs were released of the actors who will play the sex symbol and rocker in the new series Pam & Tommy.
Best known for his role as Bucky Barnes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Stan bears an uncanny resemblance to Lee.
He credits the makeup and hair department with the transformation, telling Entertainment Tonight, “I think it took two hours for myself and then three hours for Lily almost every morning.” He claimed, “They deserve whatever awards that are given. We couldn’t have done it without them.”
The Romanian-born actor expressed that the transformation was so convincing that he didn’t even know what James looked like until filming ended.
Stan revealed, “It’s really wild, with Lily, because the first time I saw her as herself was actually at the end of the shoot five months later.” He explained, “I was like, ‘Who are you?’ That’s when we actually formally met.”
What Anderson and Lee think of the new Hulu series
According to The Daily Mail, the Mötley Crüe drummer, now 59 years old, will be watching Pam & Tommy. He said,
“Let everyone know we did it first. Before the Kardashians, before anyone else. Let the mother——- know, we broke the internet first.”
Anderson, now 54, is not quite as anxious to watch her life unfold for viewers on the small-screen. She will not be watching the new series, attributing the release of the sex tape to the dissolution of her marriage.
People reported that James was hoping to get guidance from the Baywatch star before filming began. She apparently reached out to Anderson but never got a response.
James, who appeared in Disney’s 2015 Cinderella, said, “I was really hopeful that she would be involved. I wish it had been different.” She explained, “My sole intention was to take care of the story and play Pamela authentically.”
