Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, there were questions about which of her great-grandchildren would attend her funeral. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who happened to be in the U.K. at the time, did while their small children remained in Montecito.

Prince William and the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) left their youngest son, Prince Louis, at home but their two eldest children attended their great-grandmother’s funeral. Most people thought Prince George and Princess Charlotte behaved that day, but Queen Camilla wasn’t one of those people.

King Charles’s wife noticed a moment when the two young royals weren’t on their best behavior and she made it known.

Now, an expert is pointing out that Meghan saw what was going on and had an interesting reaction to it.

Queen Camilla made it known that she was not happy with Princess Charlotte’s behavior

When the little prince and princess took part in a procession at Westminster’s Wellington Arch, George appeared to pinch his sister which caused Charlotte to let out a yelp in pain. Queen Camilla heard Charlotte’s outburst and immediately turned towards her.

While some viewed this as a moment of just kids being kids, Camilla was not pleased and started gesturing for Kate to “take her [daughter]” and get Charlotte to hush.

Body language expert Judi James spoke to Express about why Queen Camilla wanted the Princess of Wales to correct Charlotte instead of doing it herself.

James explained: “Camilla stands clutching her bag with both hands, looking away, until little Charlotte seems to turn and chat beside but slightly behind her. Camilla retains the same unsmiling facial expression but gradually rotates and her hand, with what looks like a pointed finger, seems to gesticulate towards Charlotte.

“If Camilla is telling Charlotte off it would probably be unnecessary, as Charlotte is the royal child who seems to be the keeper of protocol at big events, keeping her brothers in check most of the time. Also, as step-granny rather than granny it would be a controversial act.”

Videos of that moment have the rounds online but what a lot of people didn’t notice was Meghan standing nearby and how she reacted after watching the whole thing.

We didn’t see too much emotion from Meghan during the late monarch’s funeral but an expert noticed her show emotion when Queen Camilla became annoyed with Charlotte.

According to Express, lip-reading expert Jeremy Freeman who analyzed the conversations between the royals that day, pointed out that the Duchess of Sussex saw the exchange. He said that Meghan appeared to show “empathy” towards Charlotte when she gave the princess a small, understanding smile.
