Lip Readers Reveal New Insights on Kanye West and Bianca Censori’s Red Carpet Talk at Grammy’s
Kanye “Ye” West and Bianca Censori caused a stir at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards. The couple arrived on the red carpet with a stunt in mind, as Censori dropped her black fur coat to reveal how she was wearing an “invisible dress” underneath. West stood beside and behind her, putting her naked body on full display. Now, lip readers are taking note of the alleged conversation between West and Censori before the jaw-dropping moment.
Kanye West might’ve been disagreeing with Bianca Censori on the red carpet, according to a lip reader
Kanye West and Bianca Censori talked to each other for a few moments before Censori dropped her coat on the 67th Annual Grammy Awards red carpet. Initially, it was thought that West told Censori to “make a scene,” and she was allegedly resistant to the idea. However, lip reader Nina Celeste says the tables might’ve turned.
“Babe?” West appears to say to Censori, according to Celeste’s TikTok.
“A pic?” Censori asks West before dropping her coat.
“I say we pass up this half,” West appears to say.
“He’s clearly disagreeing,” Celeste notes before continuing in the lip reading.
Then, West asks Censori, “You want to start from the back?” Censori nods, and he responds, “I got you.”
West then stands behind and beside Censori to allow her to take center stage.
Celeste notes that her lip reading could be wrong, as it’s difficult to tell exactly what the couple discussed on the red carpet. However, if Celeste’s lip reading proves correct, West might’ve tried to dissuade Censori from taking the photo, and Censori pushed for the moment to happen. This goes against other reports that suggest Censori didn’t want to attend the Grammys in a nude outfit and would’ve rather arrived in a dress.
Another lip-reading expert says Kanye West and Bianca Censori discussed his placement beside her

Lip reading expert Rachel, better known as betteroffdeaf on TikTok, has a different take on Kanye West and Bianca Censori’s viral red carpet moment. According to Rachel, the couple mostly talked about where West would stand when Censori removed her coat.
“Remember what we talked about?” West asks Censori, according to Rachel.
“No, what?” Censori says.
“What?” West says. “I’ll step back or step to the side to see.”
After a pause, West asks, “So, should I step back?”
Censori answers, “Stay next to me. … Go back, yeah.”
“Alright, got you,” West answers and steps behind Censori so she can reveal the dress.
Rachel noted that the words “back” and “make” look very similar in lip-reading, thus why another lip reader thought West told Censori to “make a scene.” However, given the context of the rest of the conversation, it’s more likely that West is talking about stepping back and to the side of Censori.
Ye claimed the Grammy Awards look was his wife’s decision
Kanye West made waves on X after the Grammy Awards stunt with Bianca Censori went viral. He claimed he has “dominion” over his wife, but that arriving at the Grammys nude was her idea. However, he noted that her idea needed his seal of approval.
“People say the red carpet look was her decision yes I don’t make her do nothing she doesn’t want to but she definitely wouldn’t have been able to do it without my approval [sic],” he posted.
As for West and Censori’s future Grammy invites, it’s unclear where they stand. The Grammys executive producer Raj Kapoor told People that the couple didn’t receive an invite to the main show in 2025 anyway.
“If they were invited guests because we [would] know everybody who’s seated at the VIP tables that we have in front,” he said. “We know each person who’s coming because every table is numbered. And so our director has to know where those artists are for award categories.”
