Little House on the Prairie is a classic television favorite. The show aired from 1974 to 1983 and featured a talented cast starring Michael Landon, Melissa Gilbert, Karen Grassle, Melissa Sue Anderson, and more. ‘Little House on the Prairie’ Season 1 Episode 23: ‘To See the World’

During this episode, Mr. Edwards (played by the late Victor French) tries to do some damage control after telling Johnny Johnson exaggerated tales of his adventures. Johnny takes off on a quest to see the world after hearing Mr. Edwards’ stories, so he accompanies him on the trip and tries to convince him to return home. Mitch Vogel plays the role of Johnny.

Walnut Grove is set to compete in a baseball game against Sleepy Eye. Jebediah Mumford and Slick McBurney are expected to be the stars of the game. However, a problem arises when Jebediah’s wife, Margaret, expresses concern after hearing the townspeople are placing bets on who will win. Margaret is very religious and doesn’t agree with this. However, Caroline Ingalls (played by Karen Grassle) comes up with an idea that might resolve this issue.

The Ingalls family and some of the residents of Walnut Grove attend a fair. Laura gets distracted and chases after Bandit, leaving her sister Carrie behind. Chaos ensues after Carrie climbs into the basket of a hot air balloon ride and is carried away.

Laura’s friend, Jordan Harrison, becomes blind after doing a circus stunt. Jordan’s vision returns, but he tells Laura not to say anything. His parents were about to get divorced but seemed to get closer after the accident.

After getting out of prison, the Younger brothers hold up Mr. Edwards for a ransom. Their plan is to turn themselves in so they can receive the reward money.
