‘Little People, Big World’: Are Caryn Chandler and Matt Roloff Engaged Yet?
Little People, Big World is one of the most popular reality shows on the TLC network. The series, which debuted in 2006, follows the Roloff family and their farm in Portland, Ore. The majority of the show’s storylines focus on Matt and Amy, parents of the four Roloff children, and how they manage to prioritize their family even after a traumatic 2016 divorce. In the past few years, viewers have watched as both Matt and Amy have found love with new people. And these days, fans are wondering if Matt Roloff and his girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, are engaged — especially after Amy Roloff and Chris Marek got married in grand style.
Matt Roloff and Caryn Chandler have known each other for years
Matt Roloff and Caryn Chandler have been friends for a long time. Well before they started dating, Chandler worked for Roloff Farms in an official capacity. She worked as farm manager for many years, with Roloff praising her in an episode of Little People, Big World that aired long before his divorce from Amy Roloff.
“Caryn is instrumental in running pumpkin season, she’s run it for 10 years,” Roloff said, as reported by Cafe Mom. “I enjoy her immensely. Whether we’re working or whether we’re relaxing, we have a great time together.”
Matt and Amy Roloff split in 2016, and just one year later, Matt confirmed that he and Chandler were dating in a post on social media. Some fans had questions about the situation, and rumors swirled that Roloff had cheated on his wife with Chandler. Still, Roloff remained mum on affair rumors. In the past few years, fans have gotten to see more of the relationship — along with how the rest of the Roloff family feels about the romance.
Are Matt Roloff and Caryn Chandler currently engaged?
Amy Roloff has since found love, and just married her longtime boyfriend, Chris Marek. Because of this, many fans have wondered if Matt Roloff has popped the question to Caryn Chandler.
In early 2020, Chandler responded to a fan’s question on Instagram about an engagement by writing, “No — we r just enjoying life with no rush — I promise to let ya know if that changes tho.”
More recently, in August 2021, Matt Roloff and Caryn Chandler joked that they wouldn’t consider getting married until 2022. “We’re not,” Chandler said in regard to whether they were engaged, as reported by Us Weekly. “He hasn’t asked me, so we’re definitely not yet.”
Roloff reiterated that the two are not currently engaged, saying that he hasn’t popped the question to Chandler “yet.”
Matt Roloff invited Amy and Chris to have their wedding at his farm
While it certainly seems as though Matt Roloff and Caryn Chandler are in it for the long haul, there’s still some tension between Amy and Chandler. Notably, Matt extended an invitation to Amy and Chris Marek to have their wedding at the farm as a way to heal lingering wounds between the former couple.
At first, Amy Roloff said that getting married on her ex-husband’s property would be kind of “weird,” according to Monsters and Critics. But she and Merek ultimately did use Roloff Farms for their wedding venue when they tied the knot on Aug. 28, 2021. Matt Roloff and Caryn Chandler were not invited to the wedding ceremony, however. Because of that, it’s probably not a surprise that sources claim Amy Roloff wouldn’t be invited to Matt’s eventual wedding to Chandler.
Still, things can change in the Roloff family at a rapid pace, so fans should keep a close eye on the situation as it evolves.
