‘Little People, Big World’ Season 23 and 24: Amy Roloff and Chris Marek Said They ‘Signed Up for 2 More Seasons’

Amy Roloff and Chris Marek from 'Little People, Big World' just got married -- and they recently talked about the future of the show and possible future seasons. Here's what they said about signing on to at least two more seasons of the show.

Fans want to know what’s going on with Little People, Big World Season 23. In the past season, viewers watched Amy Roloff and Chris Marek prepare for their wedding. And the happy couple also got their own TLC special. Recently, they spoke about the future of the longest-running TLC series — and it seems more seasons are in the works. Here’s what they said.

Amy Roloff and Matt Roloff’s divorce caused major strife for Amy over the years. In past seasons of Little People, Big World, the show focused on Amy moving forward without Matt by buying her own home and moving off of Roloff Farms. But more recently, the tides turned for Amy. She and Chris Marek decided to marry on Roloff Farms after a number of years of dating.

E! News reports the couple had their own wedding special aired by TLC. While season 22 ended in August 2021 and Little People, Big World Season 23 hasn’t yet been announced, the wedding special served as the perfect post-season special for fans. The two-hour special aired on Nov. 9, 2021.

The wedding wasn’t without its challenges, of course. Matt Roloff was building a new barn next to where the wedding would happen, potentially causing issues. But in the end, Amy and Chris had the perfect day for their nuptials.

Amy Roloff and Chris Marek said they ‘signed up’ for multiple seasons

What does the future of Little People, Big World look like for the Roloff family? Some Roloff family members, like Jeremy Roloff, Molly Roloff, and Jacob Roloff don’t want any part of the show. But Matt and Amy Roloff, as well Caryn Chandler and Chris Marek, still seem game to continue. And Amy and Chris recently divulged in an interview with Entertainment Tonight they signed on for two more seasons of the show.

“We just signed up for two more seasons, and who knows what’s going to happen after that,” Chris said. “For me, it’s kind of fun to have that video catalog of our journey, our lives.”

“It depends on the other family members that are still a part of it,” Amy said of continuing the show for years to come. “I think the big thing is if we feel like there are stories to be told from different perspectives, different generations — I’m a grandmother, a mom. Then you have Zach and Tori, their family. Then I have my grandkids. So, if everyone still feels like we have something to offer that maybe people would still like to hear those stories. And if not, if we don’t, then I think we’ll make that decision at the time when it needs to be made.”

When will fans see Little People, Big World Season 23? TLC hasn’t made any official announcements about the next season of the show, but fans can certainly anticipate it happening in the near future.

It seems likely we’ll get the new season by mid-2022. With the last season ending in August 2021 and Amy and Chris’s wedding special happening in November 2021, the network will probably take an extra three to six months to gather footage for the next season. If we had to guess, we’d say May 2022 would be the perfect time for TLC to start airing season 23.
