From Little Richard to The Beach Boys, Here Are a Few of the Celebrities Who Appeared on ‘Full House’
As one of the most iconic sitcoms of the 1990s, it makes sense that celebrities would want to have a cameo on Full House. With over 150 episodes released, the series included appearances from The Beach Boys, Little Richard, and even Frankie Valli from The Four Seasons.
Little Richard appeared on the episode ‘Too Little Richard Too Late’
When Joey learns that Michelle’s art program is getting cut, the Tanners have to do something about it and fast. Michelle’s friend, Denise, suggests that her Uncle Richard could perform a concert — little do the Tanners know that “Uncle Richard” is actually the rock ‘n’ roll icon, Little Richard.
Following Little Richard’s passing, John Stamos posted a picture of Little Richard, sharing that he had a “wonderful time” shooting with him on the comedy series. John Stamos continued, “I got to play drums on ‘Lucille’ and ‘Keep A Knockin.’ And hear so many amazing stories of your life. Thrill of a lifetime. Thank you Little Richard.”
There are a few episodes featuring the Beach Boys
On the “Beach Boy Bingo” episode, when DJ wins a radio contest and gets to bring one person to a Beach Boys concert, she really struggles to make the decision. It isn’t until the Beach Boys show up at the Tanner house that the whole family gets to go.
This band also gave Uncle Jesse permission to record a version of “Forever” during “Captain Video (Part 1,)” singing alongside him during the beginning of the episode. According to Full House Fandom, Uncle Jesse even performed the song for Becky at their wedding.
Frankie and Annette acted as themselves in ‘Joey Goes to Hollywood’
Annette was one of the original Mouseketeers. Together, though, these stars went on to appear in a number of beach-related movies. That’s perfect for Joey, who gets an audition to perform alongside Frankie and Annette for an upcoming television series.
Kirk Cameron played DJ’s cousin during ‘Just One of the Guys’
DJ is super excited when she learns her cousin, Steve, portrayed by her real-life brother Kirk Cameron, is in town. She used to have so much fun with Steve! Now, things have changed, though. When all he cares about is spending time with Danny and sports, DJ decides to be a boy for the day.
Frankie Valli sang during the ‘DJ’s Choice’ episode
Following her relationship with Steve, DJ goes on a few dates with other guys. There’s Viper, a guitar-playing bad boy, and then there’s Nelson, a super sweet (and super-rich) guy. How can she choose between the two? Well, Nelson decides to hire Frankie Valli to prove how much he likes her.
Steve Urkel is Stephanie’s classmate in ‘Stephanie Gets Framed’
Stephanie gets a note from her teacher saying she needs glasses. She’s a little worried about if she’ll look like a dweeb with glasses… enter Steve Urkel. With the help of her new friend and her family, Stephanie learns to embrace her new look.
Most episodes of Full House featuring the character Joey are available for streaming on Hulu. All five seasons of the Netflix original spinoff series, Fuller House, are available on the streaming platform, Netflix.
