‘Long Island Medium’ Fans Are Wondering Why Larry Caputo Seemingly Didn’t Attend His Daughter’s Birthday Celebration
It’s been awhile since Theresa Caputo has graced her fans with new content via Long Island Medium, but we’re all excited to see what she has in store for the new season. We know Theresa used to feature her whole family on the show as well as her special gift of connecting with the dead. A lot has changed over the years, however. Now, her kids are all grown up — and while Theresa spent the majority of her years on the show being married to Larry Caputo, they’ve since divorced.
It seems Larry will still make appearances in the new season of the show, however. And he’s certainly still a part of Theresa’s life in some capacity. Even so, it looks like Victoria Caputo just had a big birthday celebration — and Larry seemingly didn’t attend. Here’s what fans noticed.
Theresa Caputo said she maintains a good relationship with ex-husband Larry
After 28 years of marriage, Theresa and Larry chose to go their separate ways — and it seems years of them drifting apart ultimately led them to this decision. “We’re] working and finding our place. We’ve been together for a very long time. And people change. We all change,” Theresa said of their separation. While the divorce could’ve been ugly, Theresa and Larry had quite an amicable split and released a joint statement explaining that they’ll always “love and support each other” no matter what happens.
Theresa has also talked about her split from Larry now that the dust has settled from the divorce, and it seems they’re both in good places now. During an interview with Access Live, back in 2018, she said, “It was nice not to just, you know, text him or talk quickly on the phone, [but] to actually see him and get together, so, you know, we’re in a good place. We’re separated, but we’re in a good place.” And in May 2019, Theresa called her relationship with Larry, “Fantastic.” “We’re great, we’re planning … our little girl’s getting married,” she added.
Fans noticed Larry was missing from a recent family event
Aside from the new season of Long Island Medium, Theresa continues to post about another recent and exciting event in her life — and that’s her daughter’s engagement. Victoria Caputo has already had her engagement party and gone dress shopping for the big day, and we get to live vicariously through all of these events thanks to Theresa’s Instagram. Oddly enough, despite hearing how included Larry is with all of the wedding festivities, fans questioned why he wasn’t at Victoria’s fiance’s birthday bash.
“Birthday week celebrating begins Michaels BIG 25,” Theresa captioned the post showing Victoria, Victoria’s fiance Michael, Larry Jr., and a few other family friends. As one fan questioned on the post, “Where is Larry ?… just feels weird not having him around.” And another noted, “It’s sad that Larry is never part of your family anymore.”
They also noticed Larry didn’t seem to attend Victoria’s birthday celebration
Just because Larry didn’t attend Victoria’s fiance’s birthday party doesn’t mean he’s never at any family events. But fans also noticed that he’s absent from the photos Theresa posted of Victoria’s birthday. “Celebrating my baby’s 25th,” Theresa captioned her photo collage of Victoria’s special day. And fans were quick to take to the comments to question once again why Larry wasn’t around.
“Where is Larry?” a follower questioned. And many others echoed this same sentiment. Other followers took the time to answer that Larry lives out West now, which probably means he can’t attend as many family functions on the East Coast if that’s where Theresa’s holding them. But there’s no doubt he’s still heavily involved in Victoria’s wedding. Theresa posted this sneak peek of the upcoming season of Long Island Medium, and it features a FaceTime conversation between her and Larry regarding their daughter’s engagement.
While we doubt Larry and Theresa will ever rekindle their relationship, we’re hoping to see Larry more in the upcoming season!
