A Look Inside Madonna’s Luxurious Homes Around the Globe
Madonna is a music legend and needs no introduction. The Material Girl has been putting out hits and entertaining fans for four decades. In addition to her singing career, the Queen of Pop is also an award-winning actor having starred in several movies including Evita, Dick Tracy, and A League of Their Own.
Over the years Madonna has lived in some luxurious properties all over the globe. Here are all the details and a look inside a few of the places from London to New York to Los Angeles where Madge and her family have called home.
Madonna’s homes in London and Portugal
One amazing home Madonna bought abroad is in Sintra, Portugal. She decided to purchase the property for $8.9 million in 2017 when her son, David Banda, joined a soccer academy just outside Lisbon.
The Quinta do Relógio estate sits on over five acres of land and boasts more than 16,100 square feet of living space with four bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Outside you’ll find a small lake and multiple gardens surrounding the property. Located elsewhere on the “Vogue” singer’s estate there’s a guesthouse and a caretaker’s cottage.
Madonna has also owned a few places across the pond. One residence she and her ex-husband Guy Richie got while they were married is in London’s posh Marylebone district. The six-story townhome has 10 bedrooms and an adjacent bungalow for her staff.
The star once said she loved the area so much that she wanted to buy the entire street.
The star’s home in New York City
One of Madonna’s apartments in the Big Apple is on E. 81st Street in Manhattan.
Madge had the property renovated after moving in following her divorce from Richie in 2009. She bought the abode along with two neighboring houses and had them combined. The Georgian townhome, which spans over four floors, is 12,000 square feet with 13 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. It’s 57 feet wide making it one of the widest houses on the entire Upper East Side.
Some of the space’s features include hardwood flooring throughout, high ceilings, an elevator, and nine restored fireplaces.
Madonna bought her LA home from another musician
In 2020, the “Like a Prayer” artist purchased a pad in LA County’s Hidden Hills neighborhood from fellow singer The Weeknd for $19 million.
The estate has over 12,500 square feet between the main house and a guest house. The mansion has nine bedrooms and 11 bathrooms with a formal living room, dining room, and wine room. There’s also a spacious kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances and two waterfall-style islands and a breakfast nook. The family room boasts a wall of glass that opens up to the backyard with a pavilion and an outdoor kitchen.
Some of the other amenities include a large pool with a spa, a gym, a media room, and a full-size basketball court on the grounds.
