‘Love After Lockup’: Daniel Swears He’ll Stay Off Drugs in Emotional Season Finale Sneak Peek [VIDEO]
Daniel from Love After Lockup swears he’s turned over a new leaf. But his mom fears that he could get sucked back into the world of drugs. In this clip from the Sept. 27 season finale of the WE tv reality series, he tries to reassure her that he’ll stay on the straight and narrow after his prison stint.
Daniel tries to reassure his mom in the next episode of ‘Love After Lockup’
Daniel spent time in prison because of a DUI. While behind bars, he met Bianca, who’d reached out because she nearly lost her life in a DUI accident. She was trying to learn more about why someone would drink and drive. But soon, she and Daniel developed a serious romantic connection, and the two got engaged.
Now, Daniel is out of prison and ready to start a new life with Bianca. But as he sits down with his loved ones for a post-release meal, his mom admits she’s worried about what’s next.
“It just takes once for him to slip up and take something and die,” she says. “Once. One time. And that to me is like, I’m going to worry for a while.”
“It’s something I’m always going to struggle with,” Daniel admits. “The pull for a glass of wine. Or if I see drugs it’s going to trigger some type of memory that I have of doing it. I’m gonna struggle with that for my entire life.”
“If that happens, it’s gonna break my heart,” his mom says as she tears up.
Daniel tells his mom he loves her. “I’m never gonna do that to myself,” he says. “I’m never gonna do that to any of you.”
What else to expect from the ‘Love After Lockup’ finale
In addition to Bianca and Daniel, the Love After Lockup season finale will check in with several of the show’s other couples. Here’s the episode synopsis:

Can’t get enough Love After Lockup? While the current season is winding down, another chapter of Life After Lockup kicks off on Friday, Oct. 4 on WE tv at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The new season will follow Bianca and Daniel on the next stage of their journey, as well as six other couples, including Britney and Kerok, Tennie and Robert, and Zeruiah and Troy.
