‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’: The New and Returning Cast Members for Season 9
VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta is ramping up for its return. The network unveiled a lot of new information about the show’s ninth season, and you may be surprised by some of the cast members and the things that your favorite stars will be doing.
Old faces are back and some new faces are in
VH1 has not announced yet which cast members will be main cast members and which ones will just be recurring guests. However, there does not seem to be any primary cast members from season 8 who have left the show.
As listed in VH1’s press release, the original cast members returning, including Rasheeda Frost, Stevie J, Karlie Redd and Mimi Faust. Other returning longtime cast members are Yung Joc, Scrappy, Kirk Frost, Bambi, and Momma Dee.
Sierra Gates, who first began appearing on the show in season 6, is returning and from her positioning in the trailer and the press release, it seems like she could have been upped from supporting cast member to main cast member.
The cast members who are returning that have been in on the show just in the most recent seasons are Scrapp DeLeon, Spice, Kendra Robinson, former Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star Alexis Skyy, Rod “Shooter” Gates, Akbar V, BK Brasco, Shekinah, Karen “KK” King, and Tokyo Vanity.
The major additions to the new additions to the cast that the network has announced already are rappers LightSkinKeisha and Kiyomi Leslie. The latter is not knew to reality television, starring in Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta with ex-boyfriend, Bow Wow.
Teaser released for season 9
The network dropped a teaser along with a list of the cast members who are new and returning for the season. The teaser is only 30 seconds, and you can’t tell what the main storylines will be so far, but it looks like there will be some shocking plotlines in the mix.
Things in the trailer include Skyy talking about being kidnapped, Gates talking about potentially going to jail, and Scrappy telling Momma Dee that she needs to let something go. It also looks like Momma Dee was taken to the hospital for some reason.
Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta returns March 17, 2020 on VH1.
