‘Love & Hip Hop’: Former Star DreamDoll Slams Celina Powell’s Claims That She Slept with Akademiks and More
Former Love & Hip Hop star and rapper DreamDoll may not be getting back with YBN Almighty Jay, but that doesn’t mean she’s with DJ Akademiks now. Recently on social media, she came out against claims that she slept with him.
DreamDoll was on ‘Love & Hip Hop: New York’
A 28-year-old rapper whose real name is Tabatha Robinson, DreamDoll was born and raised in The Bronx, New York. She first gained attention for starring in the sixteenth season of Bad Girls Club on Oxygen. While on the show, her stint was notable as she was kicked off the series for allegedly bullying and assaulting a fellow housemate.
DreamDoll really began to focus on her career in rap starting in 2017. She released an EP called Life in Plastic. During this same year, she began appearing on Love & Hip-Hop: New York for its eighth season. She joined the show in a recurring capacity. However, she was not on the show for that long, leaving the series after this one season.
Outside of the show and her music, DreamDoll has also been making a lot of headlines for her relationship with fellow rapper, YBN Almighty Jay. In 2019, during a YouTube video with Bloveslife, DreamDoll talked about their relationship. “I just deserve better and I know my worth,” she said. “I know how I should be treated. I know men are not supposed to put their hands on women and that’s just that.” In August, YBN Almighty Jay made a public plea to DreamDoll for them to get back together, stating he was a “better man now.” However, she ignored the advances.
The rapper hits back at Celina Powell’s claims
In an interview with Danielle Victor, Celina Powell claimed that DreamDoll slept with Akademiks in order to get coverage on his Instagram page. Other claims she levied against DreamDoll in the interview included an allegation that she slept with Tory Lanez and sent the video to her ex, YBN Almighty Jay.
DreamDoll addressed the rumors on Twitter, slamming Powell for making these claims. According to DreamDoll, all of it is untrue. Nothing that she wanted to address the rumors because she has time now, the rapper went on to call Powell a “dusty washed up lying ass” who is trying to use new name for views and clickbait.
In a tweet, she wrote, “I NEVER AND WILL NEVER F**K NOBODY TO POST ME ON D**N BLOG I BEEN POPPING SINCE I WAS 19 I COULD SWITCH UP MY HAIR AND IT WILL GO VIRAL SO SMD BROKE H*E.” She clearly denied the rumor in a following tweet, saying, “Dreamdoll never fucked no d**n akademiks.”
She also seemed to call Powell’s bluff on the claim that there was a video of her and Lanez. She said, “Oh yeah and that video you say you got post it!!! Pretty pleaseeee. No f**k that s**t y’all talking bout don’t bring attention she want attention imma give it to her nobody finna play with my name on god.”
