‘Love & Hip Hop’: Peter Gunz and Cisco Are Having a Celebrity Boxing Match, and Fans React
The Creep Squad is about to be under the same roof again. Former Love & Hip Hop friends Cisco Rosado and Peter Gunz are set to battle it out in a celebrity boxing match. It’s been simmering for months, and although the two are not the night’s headliners, fans can stop cracking jokes about the event. And none other than Rich Dollaz will be the referee.
Some fans aren’t really into Cisco and Peter Gunz boxing it out
As part of the Lamar Odom versus Aaron Carter celebrity boxing ticket, Cisco and Peter Gunz are duking it out at the Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey on June 11. Ice-T and his wife Coco are hosting the entire affair which will be available to stream on pay-per-view. Interested viewers have to pay $29.99 to watch it on FITE.tv, and the event starts at 9 p.m.
Peter Gunz is a former rapper turned reality star who’s now the host of Cheaters. Cisco is a music producer who most people know from his stint on the reality show. For this bout, he recruited Roy Jones Jr. to train him. The duo have been challenging each other to a fight since February, and now it’s really happening.
A new flyer circulating on social media has people rolling at jokes as they imagine how this Love & Hip Hop: New York fight will go down. On Instagram, one fan wrote, “About to be the slowest boxing match in history,” and another added, “I know this better not cost more than $5.”
“This is a bunch of mess omg 😭,” wrote another. Cisco and Peter are taunting each other online too with memes such as this one on Cisco’s Instagram account.
Cisco and Peter Gunz had beef on ‘Love & Hip Hop’
Once close friends and card-carrying members of the Creep Squad, Cisco and Peter Gunz fell out on Love & Hip Hop. The drama played out in season 10 when Peter confronted Cisco for allegedly hosting his ex-wife Amina Buddafly at his home overnight and violating bro code. Apparently, she slept over and kept it on the hush.
Rich Dollaz inserted himself in the middle when he told Peter about the incident without giving Cisco or Amina a heads up. After that, it was clash of the Creep Squad. The pair — who frequently referred to each other as brothers — came to blows several times on camera.
Within their friend group, there’s a history of multiple beefs. Cisco and Rich Dollaz had an issue when singer Olivia accused Rich of stealing royalties from her. She received the intel from Cisco. They also feuded over signing Mariahlynn, another artist showcased on LHHNY. Rich had a problem with Cisco trying to poach her from his team.
It’s been over a year since LHH fans have seen any version of the Creep Squad together, so no one knows if these guys ever hashed things out behind the scenes. Maybe this “celebrity fight” will help them mend fences. But anyone who plans to watch the Odom vs. Carter match on June 11 will have to sit through this Love & Hip Hop scrap first.
