‘Love & Hip Hop’: Why Teairra Mari Was Just Ordered to Pay 50 Cent More Money — Again
The never-ending legal saga between 50 Cent and Love & Hip Hop star Teairra Mari continues to press on. According to a new report, Mari has been ordered by a court to pay 50 Cent even more money.
Here’s how the legal battle between 50 Cent and Teairra Mari started
50 Cent and Teairra Mari have been in a legal battle and feud since 2018. This all began the singer and reality star sued the rapper for revenge porn. Mari said 50 Cent was in cahoots with her ex-boyfriend Akbar Abdul-Ahad, to release their sex tape on social media.
The cast got dismissed, and Mari was ordered to pay a portion of 50 Cent’s legal fees, $30,000 out of over $160,000. For months on end, 50 Cent has said that Mari has not paid him any of the money he is owed.
In July 2019, another $4,000 was tacked onto what she owed him. In January, he asked for another $5,295.50 to be paid from her.
What a new report says about what Teairra Mari owes
According to The Blast, Mari has more to pay 50 Cent according to what a judge just recently issued. A judge in Los Angeles has ordered Mari to pay the $5,295.50 in sanctions.
The judge also ordered her to hand over her financial records to 50 Cent so that progress can be made on the main $30,000 that she owes him for his attorney fees.
The reported court documents say that 50 Cent said, “To date, Mari has failed to pay a single dime to Jackson in satisfaction of the Judgment despite earning over $100,000 this past year. Her previous claims under oath that she is ‘broke’ no longer ring true, and it is more clear than ever that she has no intention of paying her debts.”
We are unsure if any of this will play out on the upcoming season of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, which will be on VH1 this year. Regardless, it is safe to say that this saga is still far from over.
