‘Love is Blind’ Star Shayne Jansen Says This is His Biggest Regret From the Show
The Love is Blind Season 2 reunion dropped on Netflix on March 4, 2022, and the contestants aired all their grievances. From Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee’s insensitive comments comparing marriage to “making a big purchase,” to host Vanessa Lachey letting it slip that Shayne Jansen and Shaina Hurley tried to date again after the show, there was plenty to discuss. ‘Love is Blind’ stars Shayne Jansen and Natalie Lee experienced more than a few bumps in the road of their relationship
In Love is Blind, Shayne connected with two separate women. Both Shaina and Natalie Lee fell hard for the Chicago real estate broker, but in the end, Shayne chose Natalie as the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Throughout the episodes, Shayne and Natalie experience a rollercoaster of emotions. However, fans saw a couple who seemed to have a good chance at a lasting relationship.
The night before their wedding, an argument broke out between Shayne and Natalie. According to Natalie, Love is Blind Season 2’s Shayne told her he “hated her” and that she was “the worst thing to ever happen to him.” Natalie told Shayne she felt they needed more time before jumping into marriage at the altar. She also said she was open to working on their relationship after the show ended, but Shayne wasn’t sure if he wanted to do that.
Shayne said his biggest regret from the show involved Shaina and Natalie
Before Shayne proposed to Natalie, he bonded with Shaina as well. He listed them both as his top connections, but one mistake caused a considerable setback for him and Natalie. He mistook Natalie’s voice for Shaina’s during one date, and when Natalie revealed who she was, Shayne seemed visibly disappointed.
At the Love is Blind Season 2 reunion, host Nick Lachey asked Shayne, “I think a big moment for the viewers I think was when you mistakenly thought Natalie was Shaina. As opposed to apologizing for that mistake your response was to kind of turn around and gaslight her.”
Shayne expressed his regret by saying, “That was easily the biggest mistake I made on the show. I played the victim card right away and tried to defend myself. As a man, that’s not what you want to do. I just felt personally attacked because we’re listening to a tiny little microphone through a wall. You hear it differently. I definitely 100% regret and am honestly ashamed of the fact that I went straight into attack mode. I honestly should have just let her speak as she should have. It’s embarrassing.”

Each contestant received a chance to explain their feelings about the situations on the show. Natalie got the opportunity to speak her part. The former fiancés discussed the breakdown of their relationship. Natalie and Shayne both seemed sad their relationship ended, but maybe there’s hope for them in the future.
