‘Love Is Blind’ Star Shake Chatterjee Reveals Whether New Girlfriend Emily Wilson Has Seen the Show
The second season of Love Is Blind introduced another batch of memorable contestants to the public. One person who has been widely talked about among viewers is Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee.
Chatterjee failed to marry on the show, but he has not given up on love. The veterinarian recently went public with a new girlfriend named Emily Wilson. He also revealed whether Wilson has seen Love Is Blind or not.
How did Shake Chatterjee meet his girlfriend Emily Wilson?
On March 17, Chatterjee took to Instagram to share a few pictures of himself with Wilson. He also revealed to Us Weekly how he and Wilson met.
“This is the most Shake way to meet somebody ever,” he explained. “I met her at a pool party in Miami, at SLS pool party, and I’m just chilling there with these Harvard girls on spring break, Harvard grad students. So I’m with these beautiful girls and they’re smart and then Emily comes up with her group of friends.”
Chatterjee continued, “We just start talking and talking and talking and then all these Harvard girls are getting annoyed because they were like ‘Shake I thought you were coming on the boat with us tonight,’ but Emily and I are just talking and talking and next thing you know I’m spending the whole day with her, and then the next thing you know — I was staying with a friend in Miami — she’s like, ‘Why don’t you just stay with me?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah.’”
He added that he immediately felt “so comfortable” and “so at home” with her. He also noted, “You don’t get to choose. When it happens, you don’t choose it.”
Shake Chatterjee says his new girlfriend has not seen ‘Love Is Blind’
Love Is Blind introduced Chatterjee to the American public, but Wilson has actually never seen him on the popular Netflix series.
“Her friends recognized me. She’s never seen the show,” he said. “She did not know who I was before meeting me.”
He also added that his popularity can be tough for her to handle: “She prefers I wasn’t in the spotlight, which is tough for me because I love attention, but we are making it work.”

On the show, Chatterjee spent much of his time being engaged to Deepti Vempati. The couple made it to the altar, but Vempati refused to say “I do” because she felt like he was not sure about marrying her.
Recently, there are rumors that Vempati is romantically linked to Kyle Abrams, another contestant who did not have a happy ending on Love Is Blind. Abrams actually confessed his feelings for Vempati during the reunion episode. Since then, the pair has been spotted together in public, though they seem coy about what could be happening between them.
“Kyle and I, we are figuring it out,” Vempati told Elite Daily in early March. “Not a lot of people know that we had a really strong connection in the pods.” She also added that she “was really struggling to pick between Shake and Kyle” on the show.
“There’s a lot on our plate right now,” she said. “We’ll see what happens.”
