Josh and Shannon made a big step on ‘Love Island’
Josh and Shannon have been coupled up from the very beginning. They’ve worked through some trust issues together, and the Aug 4 episode finally showed them having their first date.
They went ziplining together. Afterward, they sat down to eat together. That’s where they started to talk about their feelings for each other.
“I feel like I’m on cloud nine. I feel like I could totally see myself doing this with you on the outside,” Shannon told Josh. He then decided to take the next step in their relationship.
“This moment here ziplining and having that rush of emotion and like watching you and this waterfall. It’s honestly a perfect spot, and I know that you know we sort of already are, but I have a question to ask you. Do you want to be my girlfriend?” he asked. She said yes.
This meant they were the first and only official couple in the cast. But the newest episode showed them unexpectedly leaving.
Josh and Shannon have a heartbreaking exit from ‘Love Island’
The Aug 5 episode started off as a normal one, with the islanders playing games with the new cast members. When they woke up the next morning, they noticed Josh and Shannon weren’t in their beds. Josh then made a heartbreaking announcement.
“I just wanna tell you guys that me and Shannon are going home today,” Josh told them. “Unfortunately, my sister passed away last night. Yeah, I just got word. She was an unbelievable person. She was the reason I’m here.”
He continued, “The reason I found Shannon and met all you guys. And it’s unexpected, but she lived an unbelievable life, and I just need to be home with my family right now to support them, and I just want to let you guys know that I’m so grateful to have met all of you.”
Which couples are left on ‘Love Island’?
The remaining cast members haven’t been as lucky with love. William Moncada and Kyra Lizama have been coupled up from the beginning. But his head was turned, and he kissed someone else in Casa Amor. Kyra still decided to move forward with their relationship.
Cashay Proudfoot is currently coupled up with Charlie Lynch. But he has recently questioned if he wants to continue their relationship after she considered leaving him for Melvin “Cinco” Holland Jr. The rest of the cast is also trying to figure out their options, and there’s plenty of new men and women to choose from. It currently looks like anyone could win the $100,000 prize.
