‘Love Island’: Shannon and Josh Make a Big Step Together, Could They Win?
Couples on Love Island are competing to find love and potentially win $100,000. Shannon St. Clair and Josh Goldstein made a big step in the latest episode, but will fans vote for them to win? This is how they reacted to their moment.

Shannon and Josh make a big step together on ‘Love Island’
The Aug 4 episode showed Shannon and Josh going on their first date together even though they’ve been coupled up from the beginning. They went ziplining together over a waterfall together. Josh talked about his feelings for Shannon.
“I was super optimistic coming into this experience,” he said. “But I really didn’t think that I would fall for someone like I’m falling for Shannon. It makes me smile. I really can’t put it into words, but I am falling for her honestly, and I think that this date is definitely gonna help.”
The couple ate together after ziplining. They talked about their feelings for each other and their future.
“I feel like I’m on cloud nine. I feel like I could totally see myself doing this with you on the outside,” Shannon told Josh. He later popped the question. “This moment here ziplining and having that rush of emotion and like watching you and this waterfall. It’s honestly a perfect spot, and I know that you know we sort of already are, but I have a question to ask you. Do you want to be my girlfriend?”
Shannon said she’d love to. She claimed she wasn’t expecting this, but it did already feel like they were in a relationship.
Could Shannon and Josh win ‘Love Island’ Season 3?
This means Shannon and Josh have progressed the most in the villa. William Moncada and Kyra Lizama have also talked about potentially being together after the show. But they still haven’t made that next step.
It’s also very unlikely they would win, given Will kissing Florita Diaz in Casa Amor has made him fall out of favor with many fans. He revealed some of his actions to Kyra afterward when they were reunited, and Kyra decided to brush it off. They later fell to the bottom of the votes from fans and were barely saved by the other cast members, which led to both of them being mad at them.
But Shannon and Josh don’t seem to be fan favorites either. Fans reacted to their big moment on Reddit, and many people believed it felt fake.
“This whole episode seemed fake and scripted. It seemed like Shannon and Josh were given the date so that Josh could ask her to be his girlfriend. That conversation and others didn’t seem authentic but more like they were told what to say,” one person wrote.
Another fan wrote, “And when they showed Shannon and Josh this ep, the entire thing sounded so fake.”
Someone else wrote, “Shannon and Will are the two biggest game players in the villa, which is why they don’t like each other. Bad news for Will is that Shannon’s script is a lot more entertaining than Will which is why Shannon/Josh will most likely win.”
It looks like fans are still rooting for the more single players to find love. Some of the people who do believe they’ll win still think they’re playing a game. It’s still possible someone else will take the prize since new men and women were added to the show this week.
