‘Love Island’: Will and Kyra’s Exit Interviews Have Some Fans Changing Their Minds About Them
Love Island Season 3 couple Will Moncada and Kyra Lizama went from well-liked to one viewers rooted against after he connected with another Islander during Casa Amor. However, their exit interviews have many fans putting them back on top.
Many fans began rooting against Will Moncada and Kyra Lizama following Casa Amor
When Will Moncada entered the villa, he and Kyra Lizama almost immediately hit it off. The two partnered up on Day 2 and remained glued at the hip.
They hadn’t thought about entertaining a connection with anyone else until they were forced apart in Casa Amor. While Kyra barely kissed the new Islanders, Will seemingly connected with Flo Mueller.
The two shared several kisses, and he seemed conflicted if he should reunite with Kyra or start something new with Flo. Ultimately, Will chose to keep his relationship going. However, the viewers didn’t like how he explained the situation as they felt he downplayed his behavior with Flo.
Other Islanders also questioned Will’s motives, but Kyra wanted to continue exploring a relationship with him. Shortly before the final, the two became official.
They revealed their plans for the future in multiple exit interviews
Despite his reluctance to label anything, Will asked Kyra to become his girlfriend as the season ended. However, it wasn’t enough to earn their way back to America’s hearts, and they placed runners-up to winners Olivia Kaiser and Korey Gandy.
Following their time on the show, the two remained in Hawaii and did a few exit interviews where they detailed their plans for the future. Speaking to ET Online, Will noted they’re planning to travel and possibly move in together. She explained the two do live close to each other, so it’s easy to hang out often and continue building their relationship.
Will echoed her words, first noting how he planned to bring Kyra with him back to Columbia to visit his family as his sister is having a baby. Additionally, as the two stayed in Hawaii following filming, she took him to visit her home island.
They also went to New York for the reunion with everyone else, and Will will leave for Columbia in late Sept. with Kyra joining him after a few days.
Some viewers are beginning to change their minds about the ‘Love Island’ season 3 runners-up
After their exit interviews, many fans noted they might have gotten it wrong when they thought the Day 1 couple wouldn’t last after the villa. Additionally, several, including Kyra’s father, felt Will wasn’t entirely in the relationship as she is.
However, they began changing their minds as some believe they could be one of the only couples that go the distance following the series. One Reddit user noted they thought “production played” the viewers with their edit and had Flo act more “aggressively” when pursuing Will to guarantee the friction between the couple.
The two also said they had long and deep conversations before bed and elsewhere that didn’t make the final cut, as many viewers thought they only shared a superficial physical connection.
Additionally, several fans no longer believe he only made their relationship official due to pressure as they saw pictures of him surfing with her dad on social media.
Finally, during an exit interview, they explained the two agreed to explore other connections at Casa Amor because they genuinely wanted to test their relationship.
One fan believes if viewers saw that conversation, they wouldn’t have judged their situation so harshly. As a result, Will and Kyra went from a couple many viewers couldn’t stand to one they’re “rooting” for to make it.
