‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’: Melody Holt Says Her Ex’s Mistress Will Not Appear on the Show
Melody and Martell Holt may be divorced but Melody says the idea of Martell’s long-term mistress appearing on Love & Marriage: Huntsville is out of the question. Melody says the other woman doesn’t deserve the platform as enough damage has been done to their relationship.
Martell Holt’s affair with his mistress lasted five years
Martell’s long-term mistress is a woman named Arionne Curry. Per Curry’s interview with Tasha K, the two met at a house party and began dating. Curry claims she was unaware that Martell was married until a year into their relationship but she continued dating him on the condition that he leave his wife.
Melody says she discovered Martell was unfaithful nearly 10 years into the marriage. Though she was devastated, she says she wanted to try to save her marriage out of love and for their family. She told Showbiz in a 2020 interview:
We have a foundation and we grew up together. We built something from nothing and having a family and a business together, it wasn’t like, ‘Let’s just walk away.’ Some people think that way but the majority of the time, when it hits you, you’re going to try to figure it out and hope for the best. I wanted to make sure that I exhausted my efforts before throwing in the towel. For me, if it’s that easy to walk away, that means my marriage didn’t mean anything to begin with. He was also apologetic and insisted it would not happen again.

Martell however continued seeing Curry. Melody says she left Martell for good in April 2020 and within a month discovered Curry was pregnant with Martell’s baby.
Melody Holt says Arionne Curry doesn’t deserve the platform of the show
The Holts serve as co-producers of Love & Marriage: Huntsville. With the news of Curry’s pregnancy and the rumor that she gave birth in December 2020, many wonder whether she’ll finally make an appearance on the show.
Per Curry, Martell made it clear to her that Melody will never allow her to be on the show. Curry told Tasha K. But during the season 2 finale, Curry did make an appearance via phone during a conversation with Martell.
As for whether viewers will get to see her face on the show, Melody says no. During a recent appearance on Funky Dineva’s YouTube show, Melody hints the decision to not have Curry on the show has been made by OWN network executives.

“I will say this, the Oprah Winfrey Network is 76 percent African American female viewers. I think the network makes decisions that they feel is best for their show,” Melody states. When Dineva asked if Melody would be OK with Curry appearing on the show if executives want her, she snapped back.
“Why would I?” Melody says it’s important for viewers to understand that Curry was not initially part of her storyline and therefore shouldn’t be on the show.
She also addressed whether or not there are plans for her children to know their new sibling with her involved. “I think that’s a premature question,” she says. “It’s not something that I’ve even thought about.”
