‘Love on the Spectrum U.S.’: Dani Makes an Animation About Her Search for Love
Love on the Spectrum U.S. shows different kinds of journeys in finding love. Dani Bowman talked about her love of animation and wants to find a partner who shares that. She made an animation that shows how the season played out for her on Netflix.

Dani didn’t hold back when talking about her search for love on the Netflix show. She compared her search to The Princess and the Frog.
“Unfortunately, it’s just so hard to find a boyfriend,” she said. “It’s–you could imagine, I have to kiss many frogs to find the right guy. It’s not just about the looks. I’m looking for somebody who is motivated and has really great hygiene because I don’t like bad breath.”
Dani said she wanted someone with a career that makes a lot of money. She also wanted someone dependable, and she would be dependable in return. Dani revealed she had a “practice boyfriend” before and practiced kissing. She later ended that relationship and is ready for something more authentic.

The animator talked a lot about her work and love life on the show. She hoped to merge animation and romance with a new partner. That plan didn’t quite pan out.
Dani made a new cartoon and shared it on Twitter. It starts with her kissing a man, but then he turns into a frog. She then throws the frog into a pile of other frogs.

Dani’s animation doesn’t have a happy ending, reflecting how the season ended. Her first date with Solomon went well and ended with them kissing multiple times. Dani even told him she loved him. They had a second date to learn more about each other. But Dani decided not to see him again afterward because he hadn’t “figured out his life yet.”
Dani tried speed dating and went on another date with Adan after that. The final episode claimed Dani is still single, so the ending of her animation is fitting.
It’s unclear if Love on the Spectrum U.S. will return for season 2. The original show has two seasons. The second season did include some stars from season 1. So it’s possible that if the American show returns, maybe Dani could as well find the man of her dreams.
