‘LPBW’: Fans Are Slamming Amy Roloff for an Unsanitary Habit
Amy Roloff from Little People, Big World has attained quite a following over the years. While she started the show married to Matt Roloff, a lot has changed since then. Now, she’s engaged to a new man, Chris Marek, and she’s sharing her new home, favorite cooking recipes, and life updates with her Instagram followers.
Amy’s a huge fan of cooking, as she even has her own food business. But a recent video that shows off her talents is upsetting many of her fans. Here’s why.
Amy Roloff from ‘Little People, Big World’ is no stranger to fan criticism
Reality stars certainly need to develop thick skin, as they’re critiqued left and right for their decisions. While Amy has a big heart and always means well, she’s gotten a lock of backlash over the years, too. Many fans really judged Amy for how she handled her divorce from Matt.
In Amy’s memoir, A Little Me, she wrote about Matt’s inappropriate romantic intentions he was pursuing with farm manager Caryn Chandler. “I saw messages, pictures, and other things that should not have been shared between people who just worked together and were still married to other people. I was devastated,” Amy wrote in her book. While she was speaking her truth, many didn’t approve of her throwing her ex under the bus.
“Amy you should not have slammed your children’s father to the world,” one of her followers told her via Instagram. “It’s a private matter it certainly should have been discussed within the family.”
She posted a cooking video to her Instagram
Amy has plenty of hobbies she enjoys, and cooking is a major one. Her business, Amy Roloff’s Little Kitchen, booms during any holiday, as she sells delicious treats (like fudge) to her fans. Now that she’s stuck in the house during quarantine, she’s sharing her recipes with her Instagram followers via video.
On July 10, Amy posted a video with her friend, Lisa, and the two ladies cook up broccoli and ricotta cheese crostini. “Lisa and I had so much fun cooking with fans! We recently held a contest and selected a few essential workers to cook something yummy with us over Zoom,” she explained in the caption of her video.
“This is my little kitchen in my new home,” Amy said at the beginning of her video. “I’m not on the farm anymore. … I thought it’d be great to do a really simple appetizer.”
Amy’s followers hate the 1 habit she shows in her videos
While Amy is trying to spread some joy to her followers with her content, not everyone’s happy. In her video, she repeatedly licks her fingers after eating the food she makes — and followers are calling her out for it.
“Just wish Amy wouldn’t constantly lick her fingers when she’s dealing with food then touching everything around her yuk,” one fan commented. “Especially in the situation we are in at the moment with COVID-19.”
Another wrote, “but she licks her fingers and chews and talks with food in her piehole all of the time. Look at old episodes, eating and chewing and talking.”
Yet another scolded, “Don’t lick your fingers!!”
A follower then wrote, “Amy please stop licking your fingers and not washing before you touch something. Know its a habit we all do but please not on a video everyone seeing.”
We’re not sure if Amy reads any negative comments she gets, but she might want to take these into consideration for future food videos!
