‘LPBW’: Matt Roloff, Caryn Chandler, and Others From the Show Had to Cancel Their Trip to Nashville
Those who love the Roloffs can’t wait for the new season to begin. We know last season ended with Amy Roloff making a major life decision for herself regarding where she would be living. While she and Matt lived on Roloff Farms together for the entirety of their marriage of 30 years, their divorce shifted everything. And Amy ultimately decided to sell Matt her half of the farm so she could move and find a new place all to herself.
We’re excited to hear more about Amy’s journey. And, of course, we’re curious about where Matt and his girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, stand as well. But it looks like Matt, Chandler, and Matt and Amy’s son and daughter-in-law, Zach and Tori Roloff, hit a road bump. They had to cancel their trip to Nashville that was meant for them to shoot timely promotional material.
Matt Roloff and Caryn Chandler’s story will be a major theme in the next season of ‘LPBW’
We’ve been hearing about Matt and Chandler’s relationship for years — and we know there’s quite a bit of animosity between Amy and Chandler. Amy’s frequently mentioned her discomfort around Chandler. While many assumed Amy didn’t like Matt’s girlfriend because of jealousy or a lack of self-confidence, Amy divulged some truths in her memoir, A Little Me.
“Then it dawned on me. Matt and our farm manager, who had been working for us a number of years by then, seemed to have more than just a working relationship or friendship,” Amy wrote in her book, referring to Chandler. “I saw messages, pictures, and other things that should not have been shared between people who just worked together and were still married to other people. I was devastated.”
Despite the controversy, Matt and Chandler still seem to be going strong with their relationship. And the two are even talking about marriage, as Matt told an Instagram follower a proposal may be coming soon.
Matt, Chandler, and others had to cancel their trip for filming promotional material
Fans and Roloffs alike are excited to see what’s in store for the new season of the show. But it looks like they’re holding off on some promotional material for now, as they haven’t been able to film it.
According to Soap Dirt, Matt, Chandler, Tori, and Zach were all supposed to fly to Nashville to film promos for the new season of LPBW. But right before the family was set to take flight, Nashville was hit with deadly tornadoes. And the spike in Covid-19 cases may have also played a role.
Flights to Nashville were diverted or canceled entirely, causing all four of them to cancel their trip. Unfortunately, this also meant Matt and Chandler had to cancel some of their dates they were planning on going on while in the music city. They had plans to go to the Grand Ole Opry, but they didn’t make it.
The new season starts on March 31, 2020
We’re hoping Matt, Chandler, Tori, and Zach can all still get their promotional material ready before the start of the new season. LPBW premieres on March 31, 2020. And the trailer is already giving us clues of what’s to come.
Aside from Amy’s drama, we’re hoping to get even more incite into Matt and Chandler’s loving relationship and eventual engagement. And since Tori just gave birth to her and Zach’s second baby back in November 2019, we’re willing to bet TLC also has plenty of footage from before Lilah Ray’s birth. We can’t forget about Jackson, their older son, either, as he’s become an adorable fan favorite.
Will Amy and Chandler ever make up despite what Amy wrote in her book? Is Amy happy with her choice in a new home? And how are Zach and Tori’s kids doing? We’ll find out on March 31, with or without the promotional material the Roloffs attempted to film!
