‘LPBW’: Matt Roloff Left Out a Few Family Members in His Recent Post About Roloff Farms Reopening
The 2020 pumpkin season on Roloff Farms was up in the air due to coronavirus (COVID-19). But Matt Roloff from Little People, Big World officially announced that the season is on. While visiting Roloff Farms might look different this year, it’s sure to still be a great time.
Matt tagged his family members in his recent Instagram post about the farm — but he seemed to leave out a few notable stars from the show. Here’s what we noticed and what we think it means.
Matt Roloff announced Roloff Farms is open for 2020 business
Roloff Farms pumpkin season is a major moneymaker for the Roloff family, as it’s the time of year when they open up the pumpkin patch to the public. Unfortunately, the pandemic threatened the event from happening. Matt kept his followers informed regarding what was going on, but he warned early on that pumpkin season in October 2020 might not happen at all if Oregon’s restrictions are too tight.
It seems Matt was able to come up with a plan, though. He took to Instagram on Sept. 17 to talk about what he and the rest of his family decided to do for pumpkin season this year.
“We’ve got a big announcement,” Matt stated. “The family has been scratching our heads. We’ve been beating ourselves up meeting after meeting talking about this, you know, COVID and the Roloff Farm pumpkin patch. So, we have finally, finally — and I’m here to tell you — come to a definitive conclusion about what we’re gonna do.”
The plan includes setting up reservations for all visitors and opening up a walking trail for a “low-touch, highly safe” experience.
He left out a few family members in a recent post
Now that Roloff Farms will officially be open for pumpkin season, fans are excited to hear more details. And Matt’s telling future visitors that big things are in store.
“One of the things Roloff Farms does during our October pumpkin festival is to put a little fog machine out there,” Matt said in a video posted to Instagram on Sept. 22. “This year, we have a brand new fog machine, and we have a brand new secret that we’re gonna hide in the fog. So, hopefully, people will be able to find our scary stuff in the fog.”
“New Surprises Hiding In The Fog @rolofffarms,” he captioned the post. And he then tagged many Roloff family members in the post, like Zach and Tori Roloff, and Jeremy and Audrey Roloff. He even tagged Caryn Chandler, his girlfriend and ex-farm manager. But he didn’t tag Amy Roloff in the post. He also left out Jacob and Molly Roloff, his other kids.
Does this mean Amy Roloff won’t be helping with the farm?
Jacob and Molly left LPBW a long time ago. Molly no longer lives in Oregon, so it makes sense as to why she wasn’t tagged. And Jacob is currently traveling with his wife in a van. While Matt and Amy are no longer married, Amy still seemed to love Roloff Farms and pumpkin season. But perhaps this is an indicator that she’s no longer helping out.
Amy also alluded via Instagram Live that Matt’s keeping her out of the loop with current happenings. “But no, I don’t know what’s happening with pumpkin season,” she said. “To tell you the truth, guys, I’m with you. I’ll have to go on to my own website and figure that out.”
There was also some tension last year on the farm. Amy told an Instagram follower she was taking a step back from pumpkin season due to “confrontation.”
“It’s changed for me now and because I choose not to be a part of a confrontation that could have impacted others from an ultimatum that was said to me if followed through,” Amy said.
We’re hoping she’s not completely stepping away from Roloff Farms, as fans adore her. But it makes sense that she’s not as involved as she once was. We’ll have to wait and see if Amy has any involvement in farm operations this year.
