‘LPBW’: Matt Roloff Remains Silent on Instagram as Caryn Chandler Keeps Fans Informed of Their Whereabouts
Those who’ve been keeping up with Little People, Big World over the years know Matt Roloff and Caryn Chandler’s saga. Chandler was a Roloff Farms’ employee back when Matt and Amy Roloff were married. And according to Amy, Matt and Chandler had a romantic relationship while she and Matt were still together.
Now, Matt and Amy have completely gone their separate ways and are sustaining new relationships. And Matt and Chandler seem to be happier than ever. While Matt typically keeps his followers informed regarding his projects on the farm, his relationship, and his whereabouts, he’s been suspiciously quiet on his Instagram since May. And it’s Chandler who’s keeping her followers informed.
Matt Roloff shared he was leaving Roloff Farms for Arizona in May
While Matt and Amy once lived on Roloff Farms together, it’s just Matt who cares for the farm now. Amy bought a home of her own and appears to finally be all moved in, as she started the moving process at the end of 2019. As for where the farm stands with Matt, there’s no doubt he’s attached to the place — but it’s also a ton of work to maintain on his own. And he takes plenty of trips down to his other home in Surprise, Arizona, with Chandler to get away from Oregon.
On May 26, Matt added a photo of himself wearing a face mask and shield to protect himself from coronavirus (COVID-19). And he revealed he’s heading down to Arizona for a bit to get away from the madness near the farm.
“Making a break for Arizona where things are a bit calmer… feeling like things are slooowly returning to normal. Especially in some states,” he captioned the post.
He’s remained quiet through current controversies while Caryn Chandler has spoken up
Matt likely enjoyed his time in Arizona, but we haven’t gotten any updates from him via Instagram since May. And there have been plenty of opportunities for him to use his public platform to speak up for the Black Lives Matter movement.
While Amy waited a bit to use her Instagram to speak out, she eventually made a post in support of Black lives and against police brutality. Jeremy, Audrey, and Tori Roloff made similar posts. And Jacob Roloff, the most controversial of the Roloff kids, has put out tons of information for white allies to assist in the movement. Not only that, but Jacob also condemned his Trump-supporting family members in a tweet, though it’s unclear who exactly he was talking about.
As for Chandler, she’s also made it known she stands with Black Lives Matter. She posted a black square to her Instagram for Blackout Tuesday, and she got plenty of backlash for it from her followers.
Caryn Chandler shared she and Matt are heading back to Oregon
It looks like Matt and his girlfriend have had enough of the Arizona lifestyle for now. On June 13, Chandler posted a photo of her and Matt in the airport — and they were both wearing masks and face masks for extra protection.
“It was a much longer stay in AZ than we expected!!” she captioned the post. “The airport is bustling again and back to Oregon we go with a few extra safety measures in place.”
Many of Chandler’s followers are happy she and Matt are safe, happy, and healthy as they continue to travel.
“Glad to see you are keeping safety first!” a follower commented on the photo. “Stay safe!!!”
“Safe travels,” another wrote. “Can you please bring back some of that warm sunshine with you from Arizona, it’s has been raining all week here in Oregon.”
So, when will we hear any updates from Matt? We’re not yet sure, as it seems Chandler is much more active on social media than he is. But we’re hopeful he’ll get back to posting upon his return to Roloff Farms.
