Season 21 of Little People, Big World has shown a ton of strife between Matt and Amy Roloff so far. Amy is working on moving off of Roloff Farms at a slower pace than Matt would prefer. And the exes continue to butt heads regarding when Amy will finally finish moving all of her belongings into her new place.

On episode 4 of the current season, Matt calls Amy out for rushing the previous Roloff Farms owners off the property 30 years ago. Here’s what he said.

Amy Roloff from ‘Little People, Big World’ took a long time to move off of Roloff Farms

Amy’s having a tough time moving off of Roloff Farms, as it was her home for 30 years. She has a ton of great memories on the property, as that’s where she and Matt raised their four kids and held pumpkin season for the public. But post-divorce from Matt, she decided it was best if she moved out of the big farmhouse and into a new place.

“It could be hard for Amy to leave the farm,” Matt explained on Season 21 Episode 2. “She has so many memories. But I think in the end, it’s gonna be healthy for the whole family when Amy moves on and frees herself from the baggage of the farm. I think she’s gonna be happier. The family’s now gonna feel more settled.”

Zach Roloff agreed that his mother should move off the property as well. “It would be nice to see the farm in a better place,” he explained. “There’s a lot of indecisiveness. And I tend to sympathize with my mom a lot historically, especially over the years. But in this particular situation, it’s becoming difficult.”

Amy’s taking months to move off the farm, and it’s causing a ton of tension to mount between her and Matt. Amy stated she’s moving as quickly as she can, but Matt hoped she’d be out weeks earlier. And during a heated argument, Matt brought up the time when he and Amy first moved to Roloff Farms 30 years ago. According to him, Amy was rushing the previous owners off the property.

“Do you remember when we bought this place?” Matt asked her during episode 4 of season 21. “Do you remember when we bought it? We bought it 30 years ago. And we bought it from a couple who had been here exactly 30 years. And when we bought this place, we closed on the transaction, and what happened? We were in a little rental house way into living here, and you were ranting and raving about why aren’t they out of there.”

Matt then explained he gave the old owners a couple of “extra weeks,” but not months, to finish their move. And Amy admitted she acted that way at the time, but she’s since learned.

“And now I’ve realized why and what that all means now,” Amy told Matt.

As Matt and Amy continued their conversation, Matt noted Amy has trouble with the “emotional letting go” of the property — and Amy didn’t deny it. Then, when Matt told his ex-wife she could still come on the property even after she was finished moving, she made it clear she had no interest.

“Once I’m off here, Matt, I’m not here,” Amy said. She then explained more of this decision to the cameras.

“Since I’ve made the decision to move off the farm, it feels very weird and strange to be here and crossing paths with Matt,” Amy added. “This is not my home anymore. And I don’t want to come back to this.”

We’re looking forward to seeing how Amy and Matt (hopefully) eventually settle their conflicts. For now, it seems the farm drama will continue!
