‘LPBW’: Some Fans Are Upset Amy Roloff Included Jacob Roloff in an Advertisement for Her Merchandise
Fans of Little People, Big World know all about Matt and Amy Roloff’s drama. While they were once happily married, they’ve since divorced, though they continue to participate in the show together. Three out of four of their children have taken steps away from reality TV, though — and Jacob Roloff, their youngest son, made the biggest splash when he left.
Now, Amy’s posting photos of Jacob and Jacob’s wife to her Instagram, which fans love to see. But some fans dislike how Amy’s also advertising her products in the same post.

It’s not everyday fans of Little People, Big World get to see Jacob. Jacob was known as the black sheep of the family when he was featured on the show, and he announced he’d be leaving reality TV behind via Instagram. Since then, he hasn’t been back on the show.
Now, fans get excited whenever Matt or Amy post photos of Jacob. On Nov. 20, 2020, Amy posted a series of photos to her Instagram showing Jacob and Isabel in their home. Amy doesn’t get to see them often, as they travel via their bus. But they’re currently residing in Bend, Oregon, not far from her.
“Last week took a road trip to Bend w/ Lisa (it was her birthday) and visited my kids @jacobroloff45 and @isabelsofiarock,” Amy captioned her post. “What a great time hanging out with these two. I loved my time with them. This mama had to see how her kids are doing. I’m proud of them both and miss them. I’m glad they’re not that far away though.”
Fans are upset she seemed to use the post to advertise her products
While Amy’s post starts out about her time with Jacob and Isabel, the text in the post later turns attention to her business. While Amy makes a killing filming the show, she also has a collection of products and recipes via Amy Roloff’s Little Kitchen. And Jacob and Isabel are both wearing hats from Amy’s collection in the photos.
“And I so appreciate their support too — wearing Amy Roloff’s Little Kitchen beanie hats,” Amy continued in her caption. “These hats will keep you warm as the weather turns cold. Check out www.amyroloffslittlekitchen.com for these and other great ideas. Love my kids.”
Fans weren’t happy with the addition at the end of Amy’s caption.
“Please Amy keep the family posts and the advertising for your products separate,” a fan commented. “When I read the post and got to the part about the beanies it turned the whole post into an advertisement. Ruined the whole fuzzy warm family feeling.”
“Love hearing about your kids but if it’s not Tori or Audrey plugging a product it’s you,” another wrote. “Can’t you all keep it separate and let us enjoy your beautiful family!!”
Jacob will never return to the show
While fans want more updates on Jacob, they’ll have to keep hoping for the Roloffs to share news about him via social media. Jacob made it clear he’ll never return to Little People, Big World, as he doesn’t think the cameras were good for his family.
“All in all I appreciate people wanting me to ‘be with the family’ for a few more episodes, but the family that is filmed is not my family,” he wrote ion Instagram in 2016. “They are the Roloff Characters and I have scarcely anything in common with them, nor do I want to be a character myself.”
It seems Jacob’s having some difficulties with his older brother, Jeremy, as well. The two are on completely opposite sides of the political spectrum, and Jacob has called for his followers to consider not following Jeremy anymore.
While Jacob may always be the odd one out for his family, we’re glad he’s still staying supportive and close with his mother.
