This season of Little People, Big World is taking us back to when Amy Roloff first decided she’d be leaving Roloff Farms. We know Matt and Amy Roloff started the show as a happily married couple, but their relationship couldn’t stand the test of time. And while they both lived on Roloff Farms for years post-divorce, Amy made the decision to sell her half of the property to Matt and move forward elsewhere.

Those who follow Amy on Instagram know she’s already found her new home. And now, it’s Matt and Amy’s son, Zach, who’s coming forward with some details on how his parents are doing. According to Zach, it seems Matt and Amy are getting along as well as possible since they’re still “dealing with” the family business.

Amy Roloff is nearly finished transitioning off of Roloff Farms

Amy’s decision to leave Roloff Farms weighed heavy on her heart, as it’s where she spent the last 30 years of her life raising her family. But she knew it was time to move on. The new season of LPBW shows Amy searching for her forever home, but fans know Amy’s already found a place just 15 minutes away from the farm property. And she’s nearly finished transitioning from her old place to the new.

“I’m thrilled to see some light at the end of this long journey of moving, purging, packing and moving into my new house. Woohoo!” Amy captioned an Instagram post on Feb. 11. “Sometimes I don’t know whether to jump up and yell ‘Hooray’ or cry. I do know I feel relieved. More adventures to explore, plan for all the while being grateful Chris is by my side rooting for me and helping so much.”

Zach Roloff said Amy’s fiancé, Chris Marek, is a great guy

Moving off the farm was hard — but Amy still has plenty to look forward to. While she was doubtful she’d ever find love again, she met her partner, Chris Marek, at a singles mixer. And after several motorcycle rides, they discovered they really loved each other’s company.

Now, Amy’s engaged — and it’s hard to believe over three years have passed since she first started seeing Marek. The happy couple seem ultra-excited, but we know they’re not the only ones affected. Since Amy is extremely family-oriented, she wants her kids to get along with Marek, too. And Zach confirmed to Us Weekly that Marek is, in fact, a great guy.

“She has a companion that she will be with for probably the rest of her life. Chris is a great guy,” Zach told the publication. “We play board games together all the time and we just see eye to eye on a lot of things.” While Zach didn’t mention Matt’s girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, Instagram evidence suggests they get along quite well, too.

Zach said Amy and Matt are getting along to deal with the farm

LPBW doesn’t always put Matt and Amy’s relationship post-divorce in the best light. But there are plenty of indicators that the exes get along just fine, as they still need to communicate regarding what’s going on with their family business. So, are Matt and Amy at each other’s throats — or are they able to exist peacefully? According to Zach, it’s a lot less dramatic than we think.

“They’re getting along fine. They’re just trying to figure out the farm deal,” Zach verified to Us Weekly. “My mom’s transitioning off and everything, and you’ll see that in the upcoming season. It’s an ongoing discussion for them, but I think they’re dealing with it as best they can, being a divorced couple but also business partners still. … It’s not like they can’t be in the same room together.”

We’re glad Matt and Amy are still working out Roloff Farm details together amicably. And we can’t wait to see more of what goes down on this season of LPBW!
