As a woman in the music industry for over three decades, Madonna knows what she wants for her albums. This includes who she’ll work with and reportedly, who she won’t.
Music producer David Guetta recently appeared in a YouTube video with McFly and Carlito where he spoke about meeting Madonna and how things got weird during a “true or false” game.
“I did a remix for Madonna a long time ago (Revolver in 2009] and I won a Grammy for the remix best remix of a non-classical recording,” he said via Just Jared. “She calls me afterward…she tells me that she loves this remix and she suggests that I produce her next album.”
He continued: “I arrive for lunch. We talk about everything, the music, what she wants to do with the album. Super nice. It’s just her and me. Very relaxed, very cool. We have lunch. It’s happening. very good and you wonder when we start working together.”
Guetta explained that once Madonna asked for his astrological sign — and he said Scorpio — “she makes a face and she says to me, ‘I’m sorry, we’re not going to be able to work together. It was a pleasure to know you. Goodbye.’”

Guetta missed out on working directly with the ’80s icon but he probably isn’t alone. There are quite a few Scorpios in the music scene. For instance, Madonna might also reject famed producer David Foster (born in Nov.), rapper and producer Sean “Diddy” Combs (also born in Nov.)., or producer and songwriter Diplo (also a Nov. Scorpio).
Other big-name rock stars and musicians who tote the Scorpio sign include Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, singer and songwriter Neil Young, and ironically Björk who actually cowrote a song with Madonna despite not liking her music.

Madonna’s instant refusal to work with a Scorpio may have a little bit of cosmic energy behind it. According to Mella Music, those with this sign tend to be intimidating and secretive.
They often prefer to write songs alone and tend to “wear many hats” and “can also produce the song as well as mix it.” The outlet added they don’t like co-writing pleasantries — something Madonna may have experienced with a Scorpio in the past.
Other downsides of this sign include being so secretive about their private lives, they become “tabloid fodder.” Scorpios, the site elaborated, aren’t keen on collaboration, can be shrewd in business deals, and come off as “fake.”
