This October may look different from years past. However, one thing stays the same — Disney+ releasing new television shows and movies on a weekly basis. From The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader to Cheaper by the Dozen 2, here are a few of the movies coming to Disney’s streaming platform

‘Cheaper by the Dozen 2’

The Bakers are looking forward to one last summer vacation before everyone moves away. They have one problem — Tom’s old rival, Jimmy Murtaugh, parked his family in a bigger house right around the lake. How can they enjoy time as a family when everyone is out spending time with the Murtaughs? 

Cheaper by the Dozen 2, featuring beloved actors like Steve Martin, Hilary Duff, and Taylor Lautner, premieres on Oct. 2, 2020. In the meantime, the original Cheaper by the Dozen is already listed on Disney’s streaming platform.

‘Maleficent’

She’s back and she’s badder than ever. This movie tells the story behind this “villain” from Disney’s animated movie, Sleeping Beauty. She didn’t always start off heartless and wicked, though, as Maleficent shows her relationship with Aurora prior to the spindle. 

Maleficent debuts on Disney+ on Oct. 1. The sequel, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, as well as the original animated movie, Sleeping Beauty, are already on the Disney+ library. 

‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader’

Eustace, Lucy, and Edmund Pevensie are at it again. These adventurers stumble upon a painting of a ship, called the Dawn Treader, which transports them back to Narnia. They see a few of their friends, including King Caspian, and go on another journey in this magical kingdom. 

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader debuts on the streaming platform on Oct. 9, 2020. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian are already available for binge-watching on Disney+.

‘X2: X-Men United’

According to the IMDb summary, this film tells the story of when “anti-mutant Colonel William Stryker kidnaps Professor X and attacks his school, the X-Men must ally with their archenemy Magneto to stop him.”

There’s fan-favorite characters like Wolverine, Storm, and Rogue.This X-Men movie premieres on Oct. 9.

‘Clouds’

A number of original and exclusive television shows and episodes premiere on Disney+. There’s also a new movie, Clouds, which tells the true story of a 17-year old musician living with a rare bone cancer. Zach Sobiech’s movie premieres on this streaming platform on Oct. 16, 2020.

There are a number of Halloween-related movies already available for streaming on Disney+, including The Haunted Mansion, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Hocus Pocus. To learn more about Disney+ and to subscribe, visit their website.
