‘Pose’ season 1 premiered in 2018, introducing viewers to the House of Evangelista
For some people in the LGBTQ community, their friends become their chosen family. That’s especially true for Blanca, who started her own house, looking after several children in New York City’s underground ballroom scene.
The House of Evangelista became legendary, winning multiple categories and sometimes winning outside of the ballroom. Angel Evangelista became a model. Damon went on tour as a dancer.
Now, fans will see what’s next for the House of Evangelista. Season 3 of Pose will, presumably, give fans updates on Pray Tell and Ricky’s respective HIV diagnoses, and Blanca’s new life as a nurse. The first episode of this final season debuted in May 2021.
How many episodes are in ‘Pose’ season 3?
After months of anticipation, the first two episodes of Pose season 3 premiered on Sunday, May 2 on the television network, FX. With seven episodes total, the finale will air on June 6, according to Deadline.
In the meantime, fans can watch already released episodes of this drama series, thanks to the streaming platform, Netflix. All episodes of seasons 1 and 2 are available for binge-watching, telling the story of Angel and Papi’s romance and Blanca’s fight for her nail salon. Some episodes also play periodically on the television network, FX.
Season 3 is the last season of ‘Pose’
There were plenty of adventures and exciting opportunities for these characters. Season 3 will be the last time fans will see Pray Tell, Blanca, Elektra Abundance-Wintour, Angel, and Lil Papi, as it is the show’s final season.
“It was a very difficult decision for us to make, but this has been an incredible journey and we have told the story we wanted to tell — the way we wanted to tell it,” Co-creator and producer of Pose, Steven Canals, said according to Harper’s Bazaar.
“Although we know you’ll be sad to see the show go, this season will be filled with all of the love, and laughter, and tears that you have come to expect from the Evangelista family,” the producer continued.
Since its premiere, Billy Porter won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series for his portrayal of Pray Tell. Pose also opened a conversation regarding the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
