Maralee Nichols Reacts to Tristan Thompson’s Apology to Khloé Kardashian
Khloé Kardashian’s on-and-off boyfriend Tristan Thompson is embroiled in a paternity scandal after sharing that he is the father of Maralee Nichols’ baby. The personal trainer/fitness instructor has released a statement after Thompson revealed the results of their son’s DNA test. Here’s what Nichols had to say.
Tristan Thompson revealed he is the father of Maralee Nichols’ baby and apologized to Khloé Kardashian
After weeks of legal drama, Sacramento Kings player Tristan Thompson revealed that he fathered a son with Maralee Nichols while dating Khloé Kardashian. The athlete shared the news via his Instagram Stories.
“Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols,” Thompson wrote in white letters against a black background. “I take full responsibility for my actions.”
He added, “I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately.”
Thompson also apologized directly to Kardashian, with whom he shares three-year-old daughter True. “Khloé, you don’t deserve this,” Thompson wrote. “You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you.”
The basketball player addressed the multiple times he cheated on Kardashian throughout their relationship. He and the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star have been an on-and-off couple since 2016. Thompson cheated on her in 2018 while she was pregnant with their daughter and again in 2019 with Kardashian family friend Jordyn Woods.
“You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years,” Thompson wrote. “My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you.”
He claims he respects and loves Kardashian, despite his actions. “I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”
Maralee Nichols responded to Tristan Thompson’s statement
On Jan. 4, Maralee Nichols responded to Tristan Thompson’s statement. Her publicist told Page Six, “There was never any doubt that Tristan Thompson was the father of Maralee Nichols’ baby.”
Nichols’ publicist reminded fans that Thompson previously denied his son’s paternity and made several statements against the fitness instructor. “Tristan made numerous false and defamatory statements and declarations about Maralee over the past few months, and she is taking his contrite statement today in the context of all of those statements.”
So while Thompson issued a blanket apology as part of his statement, it seems like Nichols may not be ready to forgive him yet.

Thompson and Nichols’ son was born on Dec. 1, 2021. Before his Instagram admission, the athlete denied being the father of the personal trainer’s son.
He did confess that he had sex with Nichols in March while celebrating his birthday. The incident occurred during his relationship with Kardashian.
After Nichols gave birth, she claimed that Thompson was her baby’s father in a paternity lawsuit. Thompson repeatedly demanded a DNA test to prove paternity and filed his own lawsuit against Nichols.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Thompson claimed that he only had sex with Nichols once, while she said that they had an affair lasting five months.
As part of his Jan. 3 statement, Thompson said he plans to help raise his son with Nichols. He wrote, “Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son.”
