The new HBO miniseries starring Kate Winslet teases an epic ending with the Mare of Easttown Episode 7 preview. Small-town Pennsylvania detective Mare Sheehan gets closer to solving the murder of Erin McMenamin (Cailee Spaeny). However, the burning question fans all want to be answered is what’s in that photo that Jess Riley (Ruby Cruz) handed to Chief Carter (John Douglas Thompson)?

In the upcoming Mare of Easttown Series Finale, Mare Sheehan travels to the Lehigh River to search for Billy (Robbie Tann) and John Ross (Joe Tippett). Before she left to find the two men, her best friend, Lori Ross (Julianne Nicholson), told her that Billy killed Erin.
“75-51 Delcon, send available cars to the area,” Mare says into her police scanner in the opening scene of the Mare of Easttown Episode 7 preview.
Viewers also watched Mare fall into the river as she attempted to apprehend Billy, who she spotted fishing. Meanwhile, when she returned to her home, she watched Richard Ryan (Guy Pearce) load up his vehicle to head somewhere unknown.
“Maybe you could be my mom for a second and give me some advice,” Mare’s daughter, Siobhan Sheehan (Angourie Rice), begged her in the Mare of Easttown Episode 7 preview.

The Mare of Easttown Reddit fans took a screenshot of the photo that Jess gave to Chief Carter. Then they zoomed in to discover as many clues as possible. However, viewers still disagreed over what the image might be that made the chief abruptly call Detective Mare Sheehan.
“This image looks like John (notice the beard) taking a selfie, one viewer wrote on Reddit. “And maybe Erin laying naked on a bed.”
Many fans think that the photo is of John and Erin, indicating that he is DJ’s father. The discussion that Lori and John have in the Mare of Easttown Episode 7 preview might be about Erin.
However, other Reddit viewers believe that Erin is with Mare’s deceased son, Kevin (Cody Kostro).
“I think the photo was about Erin and Kevin,” another Redditor wrote. “Erin was the person Kevin was involved with in that video that Siobahn told some episodes ago. I can’t believe that the documentary was useless in the main whodunnit story. Maybe DJ is Mare’s grandson? The age matches?”
