Maria Georgas Speaks Out About Getting Dragged Into ‘The Bachelorette’ Drama
Maria Georgas isn’t thrilled about being pulled into the drama surrounding The Bachelorette finale. Shortly after Jenn Tran lambasted ex-fiance Devin Strader for following Georgas on social media following their breakup, Georgas took to Instagram to clap back. The former The Bachelor contestant insists she has much to say about the situation.
Why is Maria Georgas involved in ‘The Bachelorette’ finale drama?
Maria Georgas and Jenn Tran were contestants on Joey Gqraziadei’s season of The Bachelor. While the contestants were hardly friends while filming, Georgas insisted she thought Trann was the perfect person to lead The Bachelorette. That should have been the end of Georgas’ involvement in the series. Unfortunately, she was dragged into the drama of Devin Strader and Jenn Trann’s broken engagement.
During the season finale of The Bachelorette, Tran lambasted her ex, Devin Strader, for ending their engagement with a phone call. She called out Strader for ‘disrespectful” behavior. She pointed to him following Maria Georgas and clubbing with her in New York City following the breakup as examples. Strader’s involvement with Georgas appears to be especially painful for Tran. That may be because of something the resident villain Sam McKinney had to say. McKinney insisted the men who appeared as contestants on the series were expecting to compete for Maria or Daisy Kent’s love, not Jenn Tran’s attention.
Maria Georgas insists she’s going to speak on the matter
Maria Georgas isn’t going to sit quietly by while her name is dragged into Jenn Tran’s drama. Following the finale, Georgas took to Instagram to insist she had just gotten home from a “peaceful” trip and didn’t want to be involved in trouble. She claims she has “something to say” and won’t be “holding back” this time, but she didn’t elaborate. Georgas didn’t return to the platform to follow up on the cryptic story, which can only really be about the controversial The Bachelorette finale.
Georgas, for her part, was initially tapped as the next bachelorette when she didn’t win Joey Graziadei’s affection. She was reportedly in talks for the lead role but bailed at the last minute. Georgas claimed her mental health had taken a dive during filming of The Bachelor. During an appearance on Call Her Daddy, Georgas said the process was too overwhelming. She opted to back out of the job. Georgas insisted she wasn’t “ready” to commit to the dating process again.
Since then, Georgas has built a social media following. Still, she doesn’t seem particularly interested in being connected to Bachelor Nation.
