Premise of ‘Marriage Boot Camp’
In May 2013, the Bridezillas spin-off, Marriage Boot Camp premiered on We TV. The first two seasons of the show revolved around five couples who appeared on the hit series Bridezillas moving into a house together to save their marriage.
At the end of the show, the pair then decide if they want to continue in their relationship or break up and part ways. Starting with the third season, the show began featuring reality stars instead of Bridezillas stars.
For the first seven seasons, marriage counselors Jim Carroll and his wife, Elizabeth, counseled the couples during their time on the show. In Season 8, Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars 6, Dr. Ish Major and Dr. Venus “Dr. V” Nicolino took over as the counselors for the show.

Dr. Major is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience. He earned his degree at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, specializing in relationships, family, women, and children.
Not only is he recognized as one of the Leading Physicians of the World, but he has also been on the list of America’s Top Psychiatrists for the past three years.
Dr. V holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. She has counseled several celebrities and made multiple television appearances on shows, including Real Housewives of New Jersey and The Talk.
Additionally, the doctor’s first book, Bad Advice: How to Survive and Thrive in an Age of Bulls**t” hit number one on the LA Times Bestseller List for Hardcover Nonfiction.

R&B singer and songwriter, Michel’le and boyfriend Robert “Stew” Stewart
The couple came to Marriage Boot Camp because Michel’le is insecure about their age difference and thinks her boyfriend wants to be with someone his age. Stew, a celebrity chef, doesn’t care about the age difference and agreed to appear on the show to strengthen their relationship.
