‘Marriage Boot Camp’: Here are the 5 Couples Appearing in the Hip Hop Edition
WEtv is heading into its second installment of Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition after its inaugural season in early 2019. This year, the network is bringing five new couples into the big house to work through their problems and for some, to figure out if they have a future together.
Last year, fans saw the likes of Waka Flocka Flame, Soulja Boy, Lil’ Mo, and Jessica Dime with their significant others. But who are this year’s cast members who are lined up to see Dr. Ish Major and Judge Lynn Toler?
CeeLo Green and Shani James
CeeLo proposed to his girlfriend Shani James in 2015 but the two have been an item for around eight years. In the trailer, they share they’re on the show to work on issues with communication, power struggles, and things from their pasts.
Coming into Marriage Boot Camp, CeeLo was a little apprehensive about what to expect, but fans will have to wait and see how that pans out.
Styles P and Adjua Styles
Rapper Styles P and his wife Adjua have been together for more than 20 years. Partners in love and business, they’ve been very vocal about the aftermath of losing their daughter to suicide four years ago, but the loss is still affecting their marital relationship. In addition to that, issues of infidelity will be addressed on Marriage Boot Camp.
Joseline Hernandez and DJ Balistic
The Puerto Rican Princess is on deck for some couple’s therapy with her new beau, DJ Balistic. Their relationship is still fairly new, and Joseline wanted to meet with Dr. Ish and Judge Toler for their guidance.
She’s expressed her desire about wanting her man to pop the question, but he’s not going to be pushed into a marriage. Judging from the trailer there are some other things the lovebirds need to work through, but outside of the series, these two are still going strong.
Michel’le and Stew
R& B singer Michel’le Toussaint and boyfriend Robert Stewart are in the early stages of their relationship and as many fans are probably already aware, Michel’le hasn’t had the best luck in her love life. She used to be married to Suge Knight, and Dr. Dre is also one of her exes, and one of the things she’ll be working on is moving past old hurts.
This time, she’s dating Stew, a chef who’s a few years her junior and who says he wants to strengthen his relationship with her.
Bianca Bonnie and Chozus
Fans of Love & Hip Hop: New York may recognize Bianca from past seasons of the show. She’s the young Harlem rapper behind the 2006 song, “Chicken Noodle Soup” and has since been working on new music. Bianca and her boyfriend Chozus have been together for one year and he too works in the music business as a rapper/producer.
According to The Source, Chozus is an Ivy League college graduate with an ambition to help his family grow its wealth. Bianca and Chozus are on Marriage Boot Camp because they’re constantly fighting and want to bring more positive energy into their union.
Season two of Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition premieres on Thursday, Feb. 6.
