‘Married at First Sight’: Amber Bowles Reveals Her Least Favorite Cast Member–and It’s Not Matt Gwynne
Amber Bowles got paired with Matt Gwynne on Season 9 of Married at First Sight. Amber decided she wanted a divorce after learning that Matt had been unfaithful. As fans know, they ended their time on the show not on the best of terms.
Recently, Amber answered who her least favorite Married at First Sight cast member is and, surprisingly, it’s not Matt.

In an interview with The Domenick Nati Show on Nov. 12, Amber said, initially, she thought her relationship with Matt was going to work.
“I told my dad like three weeks in I didn’t think it was gonna work,” she said. “But I didn’t really want to divorce him until I found out he was cheating and that was like five, six weeks in.”
Once the season started airing, Amber received several messages from other women who’d had similar experiences with Matt.
“I’ve never heard of him being monogamous,” she said. “Like, you don’t understand how many messages I got from ex-girlfriends after the show aired of his that were like, ‘Oh my god, we broke up because he cheated. We broke up because he cheated. He’s a player. I don’t know how he got through the process. He’s such a liar, player sleaze.’ Like, so many girls reached out to me after the show.”

Nati also asked Amber who her least favorite cast member is. She had a tough time answering–”That’s the hardest question I’ve ever been asked in my whole life!”
But, after some thought, the teacher landed on Derek Schwartz from Season 4.
“This is old, from the Miami Season 4,” she said. “I’m pulling it back to the old days. There was this guy and this girl, they didn’t last but two weeks because the guy was like playing games. And he seemed… I don’t know, I wouldn’t want to be matched with him.”
Why Amber Bowles would go back on ‘Married at First Sight’
Despite her experience with Matt, Amber says she would go on the show again. She’s currently in a relationship with someone. But, if it doesn’t work out, she says she can definitely see herself participating because she loves the experts and because she believes in what the show can do.
“If two people really want it it’s definitely going to be successful,” she said. “And you can see that when you watch the show. The people who put 100% of their effort in on both sides: always successful. For the long-term, too.”
