Clara Fergus and Ryan Oubre had chemistry right away when they tied the knot on Lifetime’s Married at First Sight Season 12. But Clara and Ryan’s marriage so far hasn’t been without its challenges – such as the couple’s realization that they hold very different ideas on religion. The newlyweds also seemed to have different views on love; Clara wears her heart on her sleeve, while Ryan has never declared his love to a romantic partner before.

In a sneak peek of the upcoming episode of Married at First Sight – airing on Lifetime at 8 p.m. EST on Mar. 3 – Ryan and Clara seem to have contrasting ideas about how fast they should move in terms of sex as well. Married at First Sight fans chimed in on social media with their opinions about Clara’s “sexual frustration” confession.

Clara says she’s ‘sexually frustrated’

In a Married at First Sight preview on Lifetime’s official Instagram, Clara reflects on her sex life with Ryan.

On the last episode, the couple told Pastor Cal Roberson that they hadn’t had sex yet, despite their physical attraction. Ryan was the one who wanted to take things slowly, at least until they built a deeper connection.

However, Clara hinted that they were moving closer toward consummating the marriage. “What we are doing, we’re doing it well,” she joked to Pastor Cal.

But Clara’s impatience seems to be growing in previews for the upcoming episode. She implies that she isn’t fully satisfied with what’s going on in the bedroom.

“It’s foreign to me to engage in some physical acts and not others,” Clara says in the sneak peek. “But I’m very physically sexually frustrated, so I’m hoping it doesn’t take too long for him to get where he needs to get.”

Some ‘Married at First Sight’ fans thought Clara and Ryan should take their time

Married at First Sight fans took to Instagram to comment on Clara’s cryptic remarks about her sex life.

Several viewers suggested that Clara take the initiative to tell Ryan how she felt and communicate with him more clearly.

“I love this couple, but she needs to tell him how she feels because he is not a mind reader,” one fan remarked.

Others didn’t understand Clara and Ryan’s rush. After all, the couple just got married as complete strangers.

“Nothing wrong with getting to know each other first,” one Married at First Sight fan pointed out.

“Let that tension build and when they do go there it will be so worth it, and awesome,” another agreed.

Others thought Ryan should work harder to satisfy Clara

While some fans thought Clara was getting ahead of herself, others thought Ryan should step up his game and let his guard down.

“Someone is feelin’ satisfied while the other is… subtly throwing the hints down that she wants more action!” Jamie Otis, host of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, wrote on Instagram. “Ryan, I feel like this is a good ‘problem’ to have.”

Another viewer thought Ryan and Clara should make sure to get their spark going early on in their marriage.

“Pastor Cal said once, if you take it too slow, you end up in the friend zone,” they wrote. “He should avoid that!”

“Ryan, I hope you’re not allowing her to service you and you’re not ‘servicing’ her right back,” another Married at First Sight fan argued.

Married at First Sight airs Wednesday nights on Lifetime at 8 p.m. EST.
