Married at First Sight fans are starting to get frustrated with the Lifetime show’s so-called experts. Seasons 10 and 11 have both featured couples that seem to have nothing going for them — fans of Season 10 will probably point to Mindy Shiben and Zach Justice as an excellent example, and those watching Season 11 are currently irritated with Brett and Olivia as well as Christina and Henry. Now, after watching these two Season 11 pairs crash and burn, fans are wondering if it’s time for the series to find new matchmakers.

Christina and Henry don’t mesh

Married at First Sight couple Christina and Henry were awkward together from the start. Christina is talkative and outgoing, while Henry is reserved and private. The night of their marriage was filled with awkward silences and protracted discomfort.

Unfortunately, things never improved for the couple. Henry remained tight-lipped, and when he did try to come out of his shell, Christina managed to shut him down. During one episode, Christina became so frustrated with the lack of conversation that she asked producers for a list of questions to facilitate it.

“Is there a list of questions that I can just have so we can go back and forth, because…it’s too difficult right now,” Christina asked.

“I always have to be the bad guy, I always have to be the initiator, I always have to like, be the one, cause you’re just giving me nothing. What do I, what…I don’t…do you have something?” she asked Henry.

Things came to a head during a recent episode, during which each suggested the other was being dishonest about their spare time. Christina even wound up accusing Henry of cheating on her with a man.

Brett bails on Olivia

Brett and Olivia were another major flop for the Married at First Sight experts. The two shared very little in common, other than a love for cats. Brett wants kids and Olivia doesn’t. Olivia prefers to spend money on travel and experiences, and Brett prefers to save. And to top it all off, their personalities just didn’t mesh.

This couple failed spectacularly as well, with the breaking point coming mid-quarantine. As the COVID-19 pandemic started sweeping across the United States, the couples were forced to isolate with one another.

Olivia eventually decided to visit her family, and Brett wasn’t thrilled at the potential risk. Olivia downplayed his concerns and asked him if he was scared. She then went ahead on the visit anyway, which was the end of it for Brett.

“Decision day was supposed to be this week, but [coronavirus] delayed everything. It could be months before we finish, I don’t know. But I can’t keep putting my life on hold anymore, so I’m moving back into my house,” he told the camera, before packing up and bailing on Olivia.

Married at First Sight fans are taking these mismatched couples as a sign that it’s time for Lifetime to reconsider its experts.

“How are these people getting matched!? It’s not too hard to find out when and if someone wants to have children. Ditto if they are a physically demonstrative, affectionate person or not!” posted a frustrated fan on Reddit

“This show could be such an awesome sociological experiment but it seems some couples are just being matched for the potential reality TV drama they might create. These are real people they are messing with, in real LEGAL marriages!” they added.

“The experts don’t seem to pay too much attention to what the people are looking for in a partner. They are matching them based on their ‘knowledge’ and are failing miserably. I think it’s definitely time for a change in experts,” opined a commenter on the thread.

Many fans think that it’s simply a matter of Lifetime and the production team hoping to wring as much drama as possible out of the Married at First Sight couples.

“If they truly want these legally binding marriages to succeed, they would offer more support. Production has decided we want to see people crash and burn in these relationships,” pointed out one user.
