Many Married at First Sight fans think the writing has been on the wall for Henry Rodriguez and Christina since the very beginning. Henry’s ultra-introverted personality never seemed like a match for Christina, who had a more emotional, fiery temperament.

In a new sneak peek of the remainder of Lifetime’s Married at First Sight Season 11 – this time featuring the five couples filming themselves during the COVID-19 crisis – Henry and Christina’s marital issues seemed to escalate even further. Henry told the experts that he even thought Christina might have been unfaithful to him early in their marriage.

Henry claimed Christina showed a ‘pattern of dishonesty’

The Married at First Sight couples began speaking to the experts via video chat after COVID-19 halted production and left New Orleans a ghost town.

In his video session with Pastor Cal Roberson, Henry opened up about Christina’s allegedly suspicious behavior. He seemed to imply that she’d even cheated on him not long into their brief marriage.

“I’ve noticed a pattern of dishonesty,” Henry told a concerned Pastor Cal. “I noticed it kind of early on, and I kind of let it slide by. But I think it kind of prevented me opening up to her early on and just talking to her.”

The Married at First Sight star explained that Christina went out by herself one Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. She claimed she was going on a walk, but Henry didn’t entirely believe her.

“She was dressed like anything but she was going on a walk,” Henry said. “You know, makeup done, all that.”

From there, Christina’s behavior allegedly got even stranger. She texted her husband close to midnight, claiming she was rearranging furniture at a friend’s house. Henry stayed up until 1 a.m. to see if his wife would come back, but she never did.

“I’m pretty sure she didn’t come home that night,” the Married at First Sight star said.

Christina broke down when Henry confronted her

Later in the Married at First Sight preview, Christina and Henry had an uncomfortable conversation about her dishonesty – and their fundamental personality differences.

Henry accused his wife of dishonesty, claiming she just “told him things he wanted to hear” instead of the full truth. Christina argued that Henry did the same with her, but he insisted that he always tried to be as honest with her as possible.

Christina often accused Henry of “shutting down” and refusing to put effort into their marriage or take initiative throughout the process. She seemed to reach her breaking point with what she considered his “closed-off” behavior during their confrontation.

Breaking down into sobs as Henry looked on awkwardly, Christina said she had no idea what to do to make Henry happy.

“I just don’t know what to do for you,” she cried. “I’m sorry. I don’t know what to do.”

The ‘Married at First Sight’ stars appeared to be at an impasse

Henry and Christina did agree on one thing, at least: They didn’t communicate effectively.

“I feel like we’re speaking two different languages,” Christina lamented. Henry wholeheartedly agreed with his wife’s assessment, nodding his assent.

Finally, Christina told Henry she’d never felt desired by him, which had affected her sense of self-esteem and self-worth.

“I wish that we would have had this communication all along,” the Married at First Sight star exclaimed. “It just makes me feel like you are just so checked out and straight up don’t want me.”

Henry didn’t offer much in the way of a response to his wife’s emotional breakdown. But it seems, at least from previews, that the couple might have broken things off before Decision Day ever rolled around.
