‘Married at First Sight’: Lindsey Calls Mark a ‘Loser’ During Bowling Alley Outburst
Lindsey’s patience with Mark has worn thin. The Married at First Sight bride vented about her husband in the Feb. 23 episode of the Lifetime reality series. In an expletive-filled rant, she slammed Mark’s salary, living conditions, and performance as a sexual partner. But Lindsey isn’t the only one who’s reached the end of her rope. Mark also seems to be done with his wife’s over-the-top antics.
Mark calls out Lindsey on ‘Married at First Sight’
At first, Lindsey and Mark seemed like a match made in heaven. The Boston couple clicked right away, with both seeming pleased with the person the experts had matched them with. (Something that couldn’t be said of all the couples on this season of Married at First Sight.) But since then, they’ve hit a few speed bumps. The latest dust-up came during a bowling outing with the other couples.
The problem started when Lindsey exchanged words with Katina, with whom she’s clashed in the past. Mark called out his wife for trying to start something with her fellow season 14 bride.
“I didn’t like the way you spoke like that with her,” he said. “It’s awkward. I feel awkward when you do that.” He added that Lindsey should have known that her tone would annoy Katina, and that it would have been better to stay silent.
“She can’t let things go sometimes,” Mark said in a confessional. “She can’t not speak up at times when I feel like she should walk away from things. And I don’t like this. This isn’t what I want in a wife.”
Lindsey lashes out at Mark
This isn’t the first time Mark has asked Lindsey to tone it down. But she apparently saw his comments as a sign that he didn’t have her back. She quickly fired back, pointing out some of the things she’d done for her husband during their brief marriage, including helping him clean out his bedbug-infested apartment after they returned from their honeymoon.
Mark took himself out of the conversation, telling Lindsey to “have another drink” as he walked away. Mark has previously hinted that Lindsey’s drinking was a red flag in previous episodes of Married at First Sight.) Meanwhile, she retreated to the bathroom, where she opened up to two of the show’s producers.
“I think I’m done,” she said. “My husband’s a f***ing idiot.”
Lindsey went on to slam Mark’s career, speaking disparagingly of his $60,000 yearly salary and screaming that she’d donned a hazmat suit to clean up his apartment. She also said that he didn’t satisfy her sexually.
“I hate my husband. I’m sick of dealing with his bulls***,” she said. “He’s a pathetic loser.”
Fans react to Lindsey’s comments: ‘YIKES’
On Instagram, Married at First Sight fans reacted to Lindsey’s candid comments about her husband. Most felt she was out of line.
“I’ll speak for everyone on this: YIKES,” one commented.
One Married at First Sight bride agreed that Lindsey’s rant wasn’t appropriate. “I don’t usually say much but this is ridiculous!” commented Shawniece Jackson, who appeared on the show’s sixth season, which was also set in Boston.
Others felt Lindsey hit below the belt with her comments, with one person calling the way she dragged Mark’s salary “classless.”
“That was one of the worst hot mic moments I have ever seen in all of reality television!” another wrote. ‘She is vicious!”
