‘Married at First Sight’ Season 14: Fans Fear Olajuwon Could Be Another Chris
Married at First Sight Season 14 kicked off Jan. 5, and one participant is already giving some viewers a bad vibe. The experts paired ex-playboy Olajawon with Katina, but fans fear that he might not be ready to walk down the aisle. Some are even worried that he could be similar to notorious season 12 groom Chris, who turned off both viewers and his bride with his sexist comments and manipulative behavior.

Olajuwon, 29, isn’t trying to hide his wild past. Yet he insists he’s changed. He told the Married at First Sight experts he’s left his playboy ways behind him and spent the past two years working on himself.
“My childish ways are gone,” he said.
But is that really the case? During the group bachelorette party, he got up close and personal with the strippers, referring to the club as his “natural habitat.” Even Olajuwon’s family and friends seemed skeptical when he announced he was getting married at first sight, especially when he laid out some of his requirements for a wife.
“I want a traditional wife. Like, I come home and there’s a hot meal,” he said. A wife who can’t cook isn’t a wife, he added.
When his niece and sister-in-law challenged him on those statements, he didn’t back off. “It really is [a dealbreaker].”
‘Married at First Sight’ fans think Olajuwon is throwing up red flags
Some viewers felt that Olajuwon was setting himself up for failure. They worried that Katina might end up being this season’s Paige – a woman married to a man who didn’t respect her or their relationship.
“He’s a child/ playboy. He’s nowhere near ready for marriage. Bring on the drama,” one person commented on Instagram.
“Olajuwon is giving me major CHRIS vibes,” another wrote. Another compared him to Zach from Married at First Sight Season 10, whose marriage to Mindy was a memorable disaster.
“MAFS already showed how questionable Chris was from the jump and we see what a disaster that was,” another viewer tweeted. “Why was THIS dude chosen?”
Olajuwon wants a wife who will go with him to the strip club
So, is Olajuwon ready for the Married at First Sight experience? That remains to be seen. But during his bachelor party, Olajuwon’s comments and behavior had viewers (and the other grooms) raising their eyebrows.
“You know, I see that, and the first thing I think is, ‘That guy’s ready to get married,’” fellow groom Chris said as Olajuwon danced with one of the strippers.
But Olajuwon wasn’t worried that his behavior would bother his wife. “I’m hoping for a girl that’s my partner. Somebody I can bring to the strip club,” he told his friend.
Katina might not be that woman.
“I’m not that freaky,” his wife-to-be said to the other brides.
