Chalk up another loss for the Married at First Sight matchmakers. We’re only two episodes in to the 10th season of the Lifetime reality show about couples who get hitched without having met first. But already one pair has decided to call it quits, People is reporting. Obviously, stop reading now if you don’t want to find out which of this season’s five couples definitely isn’t staying together.

Brandon Reid and Taylor Dunklin have split

It was just a week ago that Married at First Sight viewers watched as three of this season’s five couples walked down the aisle: Katie and Derek, Taylor and Brandon, and Jessica and Austin. (Two other couples will say ‘I do’ in the Jan. 15 episode.) But apparently, it wasn’t a love connection for Taylor Dunklin, 27, and Brandon Reid, 34. He filed for an annulment before the episode even aired.

Reid filed the paperwork to dissolve the marriage on Jan. 2 in Anne Arundel County circuit court, the Baltimore Sun reported. The paper noted that the Instagram account @mafsfan broke the news of the split on Jan. 14.

Though Reid and Dunklin’s relationship doesn’t last, they’ll still be featured on upcoming episodes.

“As with any union, some end up happily ever after, and others don’t,” Lifetime said in a statement to People. “Continue to watch MAFS to see what happens with Taylor and Brandon.”

This is the first time that a MAFS couple has broken up before the show’s wedding episodes have finished airing, according to People.

Some fans aren’t surprised the couple didn’t make it

Reid and Dunklin’s breakup probably won’t come as a shock to some of the show’s fans. While the show’s three relationship experts thought the D.C.-area singles were compatible, it seemed their matchmaking skills were off. Though both had active social lives, were passionate about their careers, and seemed ready to settle down, the spark wasn’t there.

The couple’s first conversation after their wedding was a little awkward, with Reid telling his bride that “If I didn’t like you, I would have respectfully walked towards the exit.” On social media, some fans thought it wouldn’t work out, saying Reid seemed uncomfortable. Others thought he was just nervous.

“This one doesn’t surprise me. I felt really bad for her so far. He seems like he’s not really into the whole thing,” wrote a commenter on the @mafsfan Instagram account.

“From the clips they showed of Brandon, I was surprised he was even picked!” another wrote.

Most ‘Married at First Sight’ couples don’t stay together

Over the previous nine seasons of Married at First Sight, 29 couples have gotten married. The majority of those have divorced, with many agreeing to split on the show’s “Decision Day.” A few who decided to stay married at the end of the show later ended their relationships.

However, MAFS has resulted in a handful of successful pairings. Season 1 couple Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner are still together. They have one child and are expecting another. Season 5’s Ashley Petta and Anthony D’Amico have also remained married, as have Shawniece Jackson and Jephte Pierre from Season 6.

Danielle Bergman and Boddy Dodd (season 7), Stephanie Sersen and AJ Vollmoeller (season 8), Kristine Killingsworth and Keith Dewar (season 8), Elizabeth Bice and Jamie Thompson (season 9), and Deonna McNeill and Gregory Okotie (season 9) are all still married as well.
