‘Married at First Sight’ Spoilers: Did Brett and Olivia Already Split Up?
Married at First Sight fans weren’t so sure about Brett from the get-go. Many felt alarmed by his promiscuous dating background, and felt as if he might not be ready to settle down. Meanwhile, Olivia seemed to have similar thoughts when rewatching her season. Now, with filming over and the season still airing, are Brett and Olivia still together, or have the possibly mismatched couple called it quits already?
‘Married at First Sight’ fans felt bad for Olivia
Married at First Sight star Brett failed to endear himself to fans right away. The reality star’s first impression on many was that of a playboy — and this was further driven home when he wound up hitting on one of Henry’s friends during the bachelor party.
Brett also seemed pretty sure of himself. At one point he told Married at First Sight producers, “She’d be crazy if she’s not attracted to me.” He also revealed that he’s dated 45 women since his last relationship ended.
Many fans felt bad for Olivia, and some of them took to Reddit to voice their sympathy for her match.
“I am so tired of the ‘experts’ matching decent people with absolute creeps, narcissists and d*****bags,” said one Redditor, not mincing any words.
“I feel this matching of disasters waiting to happen is morally unacceptable. … And all [Olivia] wants is a nice guy and they give her the worst of the bunch! It smacked of a ratings grab and this angered me. Olivia has a right to a ‘professional’ match, not to be used by the producers for the drama, which will surely unfold,” pointed out another user.
Brett’s behavior turned off Olivia early on
It seems Redditors weren’t the only ones turned off by Brett’s behavior when watching Married at First Sight. In fact, Olivia rewatched the first episode, and said she felt turned off by Brett’s behavior on screen.
“I like that Brett chose simple black and white, but I have to admit that watching this segment was tough. It is not cool to hear about all of his past dates and canceling of dates. It makes me feel like he maybe isn’t ready to settle down,” Olivia told Us Weekly.
“As for Brett, his dad did not seem thrilled and his siblings didn’t have much to say — the looks on their faces say it all. They all seemed shocked that he would even consider getting married given his dating history. Brett and his statistics…,” she added.
Olivia concluded, “Some of the things Brett says are so shocking to me. He sounds like a playboy.”
Have Olivia and Brett called it quits already?
Soap Dirt recently reported that Brett and Olivia look like they’ve called it quits already. In fact, the publication claims that sources saw the would-be Married at First Sight husband with another woman entirely.
According to the source, the woman was a brunette, and while Olivia herself fits the bill, the source claims the woman in question did not look like Olivia.
Meanwhile, a Facebook user claims they found Brett’s profile on Bumble, a dating app. They wrote, “I saw him on Bumble…obviously they didn’t work out.”
