‘Married at First Sight’: Why Pastor Calvin Roberson Didn’t Fight for This Marriage to Continue
The experts of Married at First Sight have the tough task of matchmaking married couples, then trying to guide them. Pastor Calvin Roberson is all about making marriage work, but he revealed why there is one couple on the show he didn’t want to fight for in the end. Here is everything you need to know.
Pastor Calvin Roberson previously threatened to kick out Luke Cuccurullo
Luke Cuccurullo and Kate Sisk had a long rocky road in Season 8. One of their biggest moments was when it was revealed that they kissed and Cuccurullo said he felt “repulsed and dead inside” afterward. Roberson confronted the husband about the comment.
“In all my time at Married At First Sight and in all the couples that I’ve dealt with and consoled, I’ve never heard anyone say something so vile to their spouse,” said Pastor Roberson on the show.
He then laid down the law with Cuccurullo. “If you can’t turn it around, respect this woman, be the man that I’m expecting you to be, you need to get the heck up out of here.”

Pastor Roberson said he won’t fight for their marriage because they’re healthier apart
The experts had a few questions and things to say to the couple before they made their decision. One of the questions was how they had sex, when Cuccurullo claimed to not be attracted to Sisk. Sisk answered the question, but Cuccurullo refused to answer.
“I think in this secret keeping around what was happening behind the scenes was actually hurting you guys because we weren’t able to ultimately provide help,” said Dr. Jessica Griffin.
Pastor Roberson also had some words after they both revealed they want to get a divorce. “I fight for marriages. I normally do but not this time [laughs.] I think that you’re healthier apart and Kate I believe you need someone who really wants to be married to you, who really desires you because you’re pretty special,” he said. “I hope that the lessons
It just goes to show that the experts will try to keep couples working on their relationships until those relationships become unhealthy. At least, that’s where Pastor Roberson drew the line.
