Marvel Fans Don’t Believe Patrick Stewart Denying ‘Doctor Strange 2’ Rumors
Now that rumors of X-Men star Patrick Stewart returning as Charles Xavier in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, or Doctor Strange 2, started, they might never stop. Andrew Garfield started something by denying his role with Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Fans simply do not believe when any actor denies their involvement with Marvel movies. And even though Stewart denied Professor X appearing in Doctor Strange 2, fans don’t believe him.
Marvel fans trolled articles of Patrick Stewart denying his ‘Doctor Strange 2’ rumors on Twitter
After Marvel dropped the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer, fans thought they heard Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier with a group that looked like the Illuminati in Marvel Comics.
When Stewart was asked about fans allegedly hearing his voice in the Doctor Strange 2 trailer, he denied it. However, after Andrew Garfield denied his role in Spider-Man: No Way Home for months, no one believes Stewart.
“I gotta say though, I don’t trust Marvel trailers anymore. They just edit it in ways now that are way different from a story perspective,” one Twitter fan said. “So, although I believe he’s in it, who knows?”
Other fans on Twitter went even further comparing Patrick Stewart and Andrew Garfield.
Marvel fans called Patrick Stewart a ‘werewolf’ like the game Andrew Garfield compared his deception to
Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange walked in handcuffs down a hallway in the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer. He was escorted by what seemed like Ultron or Iron Man robots. A mysterious voice addressed him, but fans needed nothing more.
Patrick Stewart could barely deny his involvement in Doctor Strange 2 before people started calling him a ‘werewolf.’
After Spider-Man: No Way Home released and everyone discovered Andrew Garfield, he could finally drop the act. He told West Side Story actor Rachel Ziegler about his time with Holland and Maguire. He also compared dodging interview questions about Spider-Man: No Way Home to a game of ‘Werewolf.’
‘Werewolf,’ ‘Mafia,’ or other similar games include a group of players with roles. However, one or more are given roles of ‘Werewolf’ or ‘Mafia’ and must try to blend in with the innocent players.
Fans have compared Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool denial to ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ actor too
While Patrick Stewart has denied his involvement in Doctor Strange 2, another actor finds themselves in a similar situation.
Fans allegedly spotted Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool in the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness poster.
Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld posted some cryptic tweets about the Doctor Strange 2 news. Fans tried to warn him what Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige might do. However, he said he wasn’t worried.
Whether or not Ryan Reynolds or Patrick Stewart appear in Doctor Strange 2, Andrew Garfield forever changed how fans view Marvel trailers.
