As Saturday Night Live celebrates its half-century mark, the party continues for viewers with the announcement of a star-studded Valentine’s Day concert. The event will be live-streamed from Radio City Music Hall and feature some of SNL‘s most iconic performers.

Who’s performing at ‘SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert’?

According to NBC, a star-studded lineup is on tap for SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert. The event puts fans in the front row to watch some of the best performers ever to appear in the late-night sketch series.

These performers include Arcade Fire, Backstreet Boys, Bad Bunny, Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Brittany Howard, Chris Martin, David Byrne, Eddie Vedder, and Jack White, Jelly Roll, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, DEVO, Mumford & Sons, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, The B-52s, and The Roots.

More acts will be announced in the period leading up to the event. SNL creator and producer Lorne Michaels and Mark Ronson are executive producing the concert special; Jimmy Fallon is the host.

More ‘SNL 50’ specials are currently streaming

The SNL homecoming concert will stream two days ahead of the show’s 50th anniversary special. The series marks its half-century anniversary with a three-hour celebration.

However, there are plenty of ways SNL fans can get their fix of the show ahead of these exciting celebrations. Peacock is home to a four-part docuseries, Beyond Saturday Night, and the documentary Ladies & Gentlemen … 50 Years of SNL Music, directed by Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson of The Roots and Oz Rodriguez.

The streaming service also carries all 50 seasons of SNL. There is also a large library of sketches from the show’s history on the show’s official YouTube channel.

The celebrations will culminate with the three-hour primetime SNL 50: The Anniversary Special. The star-studded event will look back at 50 years worth of sketches, cast members, hosts, and other collaborators. SNL 50: The Anniversary Special will air Sunday, Feb. 16 from 8-11 p.m. E.T. on NBC and Peacock.

The last big ‘SNL’ celebration was its 40th anniversary party

The Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special aired on Feb. 15, 2015. The special was a three-and-a-half-hour primetime event that featured a variety of sketches, musical performances, and guest stars showcasing some of the comedy series’ best moments.

Sketches performed during the special were revivals of classic SNL moments, with original cast members reprising their roles. There were also many musical performances.

Paul McCartney, introduced by Keith Richards, performed “Maybe I’m Amazed.” Miley Cyrus was introduced by Candice Bergen and Win Butler and performed “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover.”

This was likely a homage to Paul Simon, who was the first celebrity to host and perform music on the show in 1974.

Andy Samberg and Adam Sandler created a digital short called “That’s When You Break,” featuring clips of cast members breaking character. The special also included a montage of stars auditioning for Lorne Michaels.

SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert airs on NBC and Peacock on Feb. 14, 2025.
